Funny, how they were whining about Football dying in three years if they won't have their gorgeous Super League just a couple of months ago, yet they still seem to have the budget to offer €170M to €200M for a single player. That's either an ingenious bluff because they somehow know the sheiks won't sell or they must've fund some hidden cash in the Bernabeu basement.

Barcelona is looking for Luuk de Jong. thats just sad.

looking forward to the Braithwaite- de Jong partnership, which sounds like something straight out of a PSV starting 11

Also, sounds like the griezmann deal is just an option to buy. wow. that desperate to drop salary

Okaaayyyyy. From what I understand, which is almost nothing, Florentino thinks few teams could survive without an infusion of capital that a Super League would bring. Real Madrid would survive no matter what.

Also, Real Madrid has not made many big buys in years. Hazard was the only one in many years. They have been buying many young players with high potential. If they don't reach a Real Madrid level, they are sold for a profit.

And Mbappe is not your normal player. He is not a single player, he is a singular player. He could be the next best player once Messi and Ronaldo are buried, probably after this season. He's the best bet to own the rest of this decade.

People think Spain is rich, Spain's economy is below average in Europe.

Both Barca and Real have enormous debts, they just do not disclose the amount publicly.

Also that is why the CVC (loan money for broadcasting rights) is after La Liga in the first place because several Spanish clubs have debts and shady amount of money in the minus.

The thing with those clubs is they spend money first before they re-pay the debt.

Heard on Grumpy Pundits this morning that Norwich, Brentford, and Watford all outspent the top 3 (Real, Atletico, Barca) in this window.

    Crazy.

Pretty sure he talked about his own club and Barca, which is why both of them remain in that travesty. Doesn't matter how little they've spend and how good Mbappe is, Real is so deep in debt that they shouldn't be able to bid even €100M.

    @Raz @daywalker02

I read an article about the debt of the Spanish giants. The debt is at 900 million for Madrid and 1.2 billion for Barcelona. It's insane and makes little sense to me.

Not only is the debt stupid big, most of the signings have been terrible for barcelona
Pedri, being one of the modest signing, is really the only one that you can say has been a big success. The rest have either being terrible to just ok.

Criminal the way that club was ran during the previous administration

Wow finally a good game by our National team. Still not a hge fan of Memphis. And it is sad that we were beaten by Turkey and had a draw against Norway when you have players like Van Dijk, de Ligt, de Jong etc. (ofcourse many of them were also injured during those games, but still).

I am glad it seems we might make the WC after all. That way our team has a chance to grow. There really are some great young players on there.

So freakin excited that I get to go to my first EPL games. Next week 3 friends and I are flying over to go to United vs Aston Villa @ Old Trafford and then to Arsenal vs Tottenham at the Emirates. My only "international" trips have been Caribbean based, Costa Rica, and one to Niagara Falls. Dynamo, a USMNT game, and a few old MISL games are my only professional game experiences.

16 Champions League games in the next 2 days. Bayern vs Barca today and Inter vs Real appear to be the 2 most interesting games for MD1.

Enjoy. European football live in a sold-out stadium is a whole different experience.

Nice little warm-up game for Bayern tonight, could've gone for five or six, but I understand they had a tough Bundesliga match last Saturday.

When you start Messi, Mbappe, Neymar and end up with a 1:1 draw vs Brügge.

Hope these clowns never win ****.
