Senate seems like a mess right now.

Dems lose AL; Dems win CO/AZ and most likely Maine. That puts them at 49.

NC is in a sexting scandal so who knows how that plays out. Beyond that, it's a whole array of messy races in red or purple states: IA, MT, GA1, GA2, SC, with AK/KS being really unlikely. Unfortunately, GOP is still favored in all except Iowa, and I can see all of those being frustrating near-misses for Dems. Iowa is probably their best hope and combined with NC, that could get them to 51 - which is the bare minimum they need if they want to consider expanding the Supreme Court, given that Manchin has already said no.

Peters is also becoming a huge problem in Michigan - everything from his name to his personality are boring as can be, and it seems like he's in a really tight race. That could wreck a lot of Dem hopes.

If I'm Schumer, I would quietly start having serious discussions with Murkowski to see if there's any possibility she'd switch parties. She's no longer in line with the GOP on many of their core issues and has already been primaried out once and forced to run as write-in. She likely has little core loyalty to the party.

I'm kind of surprised about the Peters race in MI that the polls appear so close but everything I'm reading puts that in the safe Democrat column.
For NC most of the recent polls on RCP show Cunningham with a lead of around 5%. There is an Eastern Carolina poll that shows Tillis +1 but that seems out of line with all other recent polls.

Theresa Greenfield Iowa, Steve Bullock Montana, Barbara Bollier Kansas, and maybe MJ Hegar Texas

Iowa is definitely in play. My Iowan Trump-fan father is sorely disappointed in Ernst. Bullock has recognition as Montana's former governor; he has a real shot.

To strip Mitch McConnell of his title....and his ability to appoint unqualified religious zealot judges.......oh, happy days, what happy days.
    "Here's your gavel, Senator Schumer."
"Thank you, Senator McConnell. And here's your parting gift. It's a boxful of dog turds. You get to eat them in front of us."

This poll seems to suggest wider margins than others...

McConnel is condescending, he should do the world a favor and die already.

Harrison may lose this race, but he isn't going anywhere. You can see him running in and winning other races.

What's sad about that was that Graham is really good friends with Biden and friends with several other Democrats in the Senate. Graham is so fearful of losing the Trump base that he can't lead with that.

The republican party’s current platform is “own the libs”. They’re pathetic.

Graham also dropped this stupid gaffe today which I'm sure will be in ads across South Carolina shortly. Now that he's actually dealing with a competitive election, Graham really doesn't hold up very well.

Unfortunately they have a large educated majority that love this concept.
