So...what is it when Trump says they saved half a trillion cops and jobs in Nevada? What is it when Trump says "herd mentality" instead of "herd immunity"?
It is amazing how long Trump has been a political figure that he’s never really had real interactions with real everyday people. For someone who apparently represents the REAL American working man, he sure has no clue how to interact with them. He just assumes that everyone he comes in contact with is the same. Talk over them. Talk faster. Repeat lies and whatever reality sounds good, and back people down with verbal bullying. He’s actually a terrible American politician. European Fascist dictator... yeah.... he plays that part well.
trump has retweeted and now commented on this doctored video (twitter even labeled the video as "manipulated"). Continues to show how desperate and dishonest trump has become. How much lower will trump go?
#KillTheSickNow. The Sick are just hogging the limited medical resources from the rest of us healthy people. They got to go (and take Grandma with them).
I've been saying this for awhile. "The darkest hour" speech like The Declaration of Independence is one most frequently quoted historical pieces yet much of them is least known. In that speech Churchill talks about the defeat of the Allies in Western Europe and says: "The disastrous military events which have happened during the past fortnight have not come to me with any sense of surprise. Indeed, I indicated a fortnight ago as clearly as I could to the House that the worst possibilities were open;" He's not downplaying things or sugar coating things. He tells the British people that things are bad and could get worse. The fact that it's remembered as "The darkest hour" speech and not the "It's all going to magically disappear" speech shows that it is a warning and not just happy talk to keep people from panicking.
In the nationwide poll of more than 21,000 adults fielded by a consortium of colleges—including Northeastern University, Harvard University, Rutgers University, and Northwestern University—Trump didn't clear 37% approval on the coronavirus in any single battleground state and he averaged about 33% across 13 of those states. Here's Trump's approval rating in 13 swing states, according to "The COVID-19 Consortium for Understanding the Public’s Policy Preferences Across States" survey: Arizona: 31% Florida: 29% Georgia: 35% Iowa: 34% Michigan: 32% Minnesota: 35% North Carolina: 34% New Hampshire: 33% Nevada: 32% Ohio: 36% Pennsylvania: 37% Texas: 30% Wisconsin: 29%
Looking at recent polls he seems to be outdoing his approval ratings. I think that shows that partisanship is still very strong and also that this is just an "anyone but Trump" election as there are people not sold on Biden.
You can tell that when she mentioned the $7,000 cost per year, he is doing some remedial math in his head "that's 5 minutes with a pornstar."
White House turning on GOP’s DeSantis amid growing unpopularity: ‘Ron isn’t really doing anything to help win Florida’ Gov. Ron DeSantis has watched his approval ratings tumble through the coronavirus pandemic, and that growing unpopularity could cost President Donald Trump re-election. The Republican governor still enjoys public support from the Trump campaign and the president’s allies, but privately relations are strained with the White House, reported Politico. “Everybody in the White House besides the president can’t stand Ron anymore because they realize, and now I think the president is realizing, that he made Ron DeSantis, and Ron isn’t really doing anything to help him win Florida,” said a political operative from the state who’s now working in Washington, D.C. “He’s focused on his own political career right now.” A former DeSantis aide said the White House thinks the governor doesn’t do enough to help the president, and one well-connected Florida lobbyist agrees the governor “isn’t appreciative enough.” “The president regularly believes that the governor forgets how good he has been to him,” said one GOP consultant. “Just about everyone around the president would have Ron’s head on a spike.” DeSantis has long been rumored to have presidential ambitions for 2024, but the current president’s allies will make sure that never happens if Trump loses in November. “If we lose the White House because of Florida,” said one former Florida operative who’s close to Trump’s orbit, “people will know who Ron DeSantis is.”
