    35,000 buildings in LA expected to get a surge of at least 1 foot, 5,000 may get 9 feet or more.

    I agree. Man, they should show this video on local news and the weather channel over and over way before a big storm like this arrives. People might not think twice about evacuating if they saw it presented visually like this.

    Jesus we caught a huge break..no a life altering break with the hurricane never shifting West. Can't even imagine the catastrophic damage a near category 5 hurricane would do to this city.

    15-20ft high surge is mind-blowing. What happens to the refineries in those areas? The port Arthur ones are right on the water.

    Hope everybody evacuated those areas.

    Some monster refineries in that area are about to be hit by a narrow focused tsunami. Is it coming in at high/ low tide?
