"Interest in Indians' pitcher Trevor 'Tyler' Bauer has intensified after teams saw how he could throw a ball over the center field fence from the mound in Sunday's game."

Interesting article on which teams should be buying and selling. The top teams like Houston, NYY and LAD should all be loading up, as expected, but teams like Washington and Milwaukee surprisingly should not be. I like the part about the Giants "just let the dynasty end!" LOL. The Giants are the in the same boat as the Astros 10-11 years ago and just don't realize it.

Robbie Ray would probably be suited well to the LMJ/Morton role of 2017.

The biggest problem is who is actually going to even be available? There are a number of guys like Ray that are intriguing talent, but there isn't another MadBum. Closest are Grienke, which seems highly unlikley, and Sydergaard, who maybe the Mets aren't selling.

Maybe kick the tires on a guy like Jon Gray in the hopes of him having a Cole-esque improvement.

For Miley it is about track record. It was such an abbreviated run of success last year, but you have to feel better about sustainability with each and every successful start. If Peacock is healthy, I'd be happy with Miley for 4 and Peacock with 4 as the #3 co-starters.

I find it hard to believe that Luhnow would not have offered at least one of Whitley/Tucker for Thor as the Mets would have laughed at him and ended the call, so either that never happened and the rumors of Astros' interest in him are untrue or they offered Whitley and were turned down.

MLB might have the worst "insiders" out of all of the major sports.

Robbie Ray? sounds like a one hit wonder from the late 90s. " Are you Robbie Ray? who wants to know... I'm meaner. I'm leaner. I'm no in betweener"

Ok, so you’re purely speculating about what Luhnow May have done. I’m sure that same speculation was applied to theories about how to acquire Stroman. Look how they panned out.

Luhnow has been bullish about trading top talent away, and he’s held to his guns for our own betterment. Sit back and enjoy the show.

I don't get why we're linked to Zach Wheeler. He hasn't had a good year at all this year.

He has been pretty solid, career high K/9, career low BB/9, 3.65 FIP. All this with some poor BABiP and HR/FB luck

Bob Nightendale isn’t the greatest reporter, I’d take his tweets/predictions with a grain of salt.

If Mets brought up Whitley or Tucker, Astros would have laughed at them and hung up. Either rumors of Mets interests in trading Thor are untrue or they were never offered Tucker or Whitley.

He's about as reliable as the college football recruiting guys.
