@basketballholic: "Welcome, friend." I think it's quite appropriate to refer to this trade idea as a floater.
I am pretty sure they base it off of PER. It would be a gamble for the Pelicans but not a huge gamble. If cp3 can stay somewhat healthy and with a first they would probably see a little boost with cp3 working with AD. We would also see a boost and probably have more consistency. If kind of works for both teams, the real risk for them would be if cp3 can maintain a decent level of play and stay healthy which is one I would assume they might not take.
It does not matter for the Pelicans, they got to rebuild. AD is huge but he isn't a guard or someone who handles the ball 90%. They need to draft another ball handler and CP3 is too old. They are no contender, does not make any sense. I would go retooling. Also CP3 already played for Nola, I think that ship has sailed. Not everyone are like the Rockets, who give former players who are on their last legs a second chance.
Holiday is hottest product now. Holiday and Robin Lopez are available all day, every day for the right asset. Raptors, Grizzlies and Kings are interested.
When you have a Love contract, you lose Gordon. Tilman is not willing to pay 5 big contracts plus Tucker.
