Texans picked another development project smh "2 years away from being 2 years away" by the time he becomes good the Texans will refuse to pay him and he bolts in free agency LOL meanwhile Deshaun Watson is retiring early.
Two years from now we will be hearing about how he is coming along nicely and will be competing for PT before we cut him.
Ditto Horry. Should've picked Baby Jordan (Minor) instead. Still, I'm not proclaiming this a good or bad pick. Hope it works out.
I’m sure he’s a character guy who will be ready in 2-3 years. Shocked we passed on Taylor and Ford. Actually I’m not as we are coached by a real life Homer Simpson
1-21 couldn’t have gone any better for us. Leave it to the Texans to get our maneuvered and then grab a player they could’ve traded back for.
Time will tell. Draft is mostly a crapshoot. Would’ve liked Ford. Taylor would’ve been nice too, but from what I read on him he’s more of a run blocker that would need significant work on pass sets. If they really do like Howard that much then they made the right pick in the moment. We’ve got our OT now let’s see what he can turn in to. Hopefully this is one we look at three/four years from now and realize how much of a steal he was.
I don’t know who any of these guys are but I’m not sure the boards reaction is any more trustworthy than the Texans decision making. Rarely is the board happy with a pick and we’ve generally come off pretty well in the first round at least. So with that in mind, I’ll give the dude a chance.
Why get a guy in the first round who can contribute right away when you can get a guy who still needs to develop for another 2 years?
