Yep I sold Allen short. Make its even more impressive. There seems like plenty of good OL options that will be available at our pick in the 1st if we go that route. Looking forward to the game action.

I'm sure someone will trade back into the 1st round and scoop him up, if that's his worst case scenario.

His body type and college football resume (one played at Duke the other at UNC, neither great football schools) remind me of Mitch Trubisky's before he started shooting up the draft boards. Not saying that will happen with Jones, but I could see someone taking a chance based on his potential at the end of the 1st.

Gotcha. I just don't like the measurable comparisons..."RB3 ran a 4.41 last week and RB5 ran a 4.39 at his pro day...." That matters exactly zero in the grand scheme of things. That's just one of the little things that annoys me.

Please do keep us updated on the draft reports again this year, you put a hell of a lot of time and thought into it and you know your stuff.

Pure conspiracy theory on part but wondering if there is some posturing by Gruden. No QB worth taking at #4 but the more available at #24, #27 or even their 2nd round pick, the better. They can save a $hitload of money by cutting Carr.

    Bucky Brooks mock

    23. Noah Fant, TE, Iowa
The Texans need to fix their offensive line -- but in the meantime, adding a dynamic weapon at TE will only help Deshaun Watson continue to grow as a QB1.

Let this serve as a warning to all Houston Texans personnel reading this: If you draft a TE in an early round, I will import dozens of Jalisco's most fierce scorpions and place them strategically under the blankets of your beds.

    GOOD DAY

Top of the draft is nice but you waited until they 6th to fix one of our biggest needs.

I wish we had the balls to trade back up into the late first and take Hakeem Butler after we take a tackle with our first pick. I'm impressed by this kid.

Reminds me of a mix of Hopkins and Anquan Boldin, with more speed.

I'd be happy with Renfrow or Lil'Jordan Humphrey in the third or fourth, but I think Butler is a home run, potential top 8 guy in the league.

Wouldn’t be about balls. It would be about need and if it would be smart to do that.

The only problem is that it may not be the smart thing. It'd be a risk because there will be some quality kids on the mid rounds.

If it's speed and twitchiness that werew after, which it probably will be, there will be options like Andy Isabella from UMass that had a great senior bowl and runs a 4.26 supposedly. Penny Hart from Georgia State is the same type of guy and just as quick. Problem is, they're more like Coutee in terms of size and use.

If you go after a WR2, there's the two Texas receivers, of which I like Lil'Jordan more than Johnson. Hunter Renfrow will be there, too, but he's still more of a slot guy. And everyone knows he'll end up in New England and replace Edelman.

I just think Butler is that prototype WR2 that could be a WR1B, much like Juju is in Pittsburgh. He may even fall into the second. I think value-wise, he may be too good to pass up.

Then there's the fact that he's a local kid...

If Fuller stays healthy, I know it is a big if, whatever receiver they draft will be coming off the bench. You cant have a first rounder you traded up for coming off the bench.

This is what drives you absolutely crazy with Boyd.

I know. That's the reason I want to get another receiver. Fuller is made up of almost as much glass as Kevin Johnson.
