2018 Spring Training Game Thread

Don't ever change your game, Myles Straw.

 

I like Straw a lot. He's at the very least a 4th OF type with potential to be a regular if his plate discipline translates all the way up.

 

Reddick with the "meth energy" hustle to get from second.

 

JD Davis is killing it early on this Spring.

 

Can someone explain why they are playing a doubleheader at the same time? Weather?

 

That is typical of Spring Training. They play a handful of split squad games and they tend to be in different locations and they tend to start at around the same time.

 

Split squad games...it's something that's done with some regularity in spring training in order to get more players on the field.

 

Wow weird... for some reason I've never really noticed. I don't follow spring games like crazy but it seems like I would have picked up on that before...

Yeah...one team's split squad game is another team's only game of the day.

 

I thought ESPN was glitching on me when I was trying to pull up the box score LMAO.

 

Tucker with a really solid at bat and a line drive single into right center field.

 

Tucker just homered to left center field. Muscled it out. His plate awareness and power are very impressive. Especially for his age. He's going to be a future All-Star.

 

I hope this post doesn't come back to bite me, but that's our future outfielder right there. Tucker the bad mother******.

 

There may be a reason why some minor league kid was regarded as untouchable.

 

Uh......there is no one on this board or in the Astros organization that does not see Tucker as an Astros future outfielder.
