Even these spring games have been damn fun to watch.... Happy to have Baseball back, and these Astros. ... BTW, for those that need it. I've been watching the games on this youtube stream. He's shown the last few Astros games. Nice part is you can pause it, or say you don't tune in till the 5th inning, you can rewind it to the beginning and watch (and it's HD). He seems to stream news when they don't play. EDIT: Looks like he mostly streams NY games....which is why he showed the Mets vs Stros.
Did anyone hear that guy with the smokers voice? LMAO! "Somebody buy me a beer! I'm a fat guy and it's hot out here!"....then a foul ball was hit..."I GOT IT!"
Lol I remember a few games ago that clapping song comes on...EVERYBODY CLAP YOUR HANDS...then he goes "EVERYBODY BUY A BEER!"
I don't see Reed ever having success in the majors. I wonder if he has been hanging out with Singleton too much. I can't understand being a professional athlete and you supposedly are in the best shape of your life but still look like that.
There must be a professional nutritionist attached to the Astros minor league system who advises the players on how to eat, no? It should more or less just be a matter of following the nutritionist's and the trainer's instructions. I know I'm oversimplifying but if it's your job to be an athlete you... kind of need to be athletic.
The pay and per diems are so sh!tty and the hours so long that 99% of minor leaguers eat total crap. I've always though there is a competitive advantage there for some forward thinking organization who wanted to spend some extra money on nutrition.
