It's even scarier to think about if Boston trades Kyrie for Kawhi and Boston gets LeBron via opt in and trade for Hayward. Their back court depth is legit even with losing Smart who wants to get paid. Even if Kawhi is out of the question and Ainge wants to keep Hayward, you can move Kyrie for more young pieces and picks. If you're Phoenix, would you consider pairing Kyrie with Booker and hope that becomes Splash Bros 2.0? I'm sure the #1 pick is too valuable and they'd ask for J.Brown in return too though. Knicks with the #9 pick and future 1st/Ntilikina because Kristaps wants to win now? Memphis for Marc Gasol if they find a way to move Conley to pair Kyrie with their #4 pick and keep Tyreke? Lots of options out there and a good spot to be in if your'e Boston. All that said, i think the Kyrie/Bron beef is overblown and they would be cool playing together again.

Spoiler The GSW winning tonight feels like the ending to Avengers Infinity War: it was just as easy as them snapping their fingers. I hope the 18-19 NBA season is more like what happens during the comic sequel to the Infinity War storyline (probably movie too): GSW’s reign ends.

The media is just compensating for the fact that Durant has zero chance of winning the regular season MVP ever again as long as he is on a Golden State roster with a fellow potential HOFer and two other All-Stars.
