His history as a two way and multi sport player might explain his late bloom. It also makes me wonder if he could play 3B or RF, since he should have the arm for either, and at his height the range at 3B might not be as big of an issue as it is for most 1B body types. If he could play 3B his value would take a big step up. As it stands anytime a 23 year old leads AA in OBP and is 2nd in SLG, it is worth noting. But he’s going to have to sustain that level of production through this season and all of next season in AAA before he becomes a real prospect in my eyes.

I agree. Any time a 35th round pick puts up huge numbers at double A it really piques your interest.

Hector Perez threw a complete game shutout in the second game of Buies Creek's doubleheader in Myrtle Beach.

He allowed seven hits (six singles and a double) and struck out eight as Buies Creek won 6-0 to sweep the doubleheader.

So, the Texas League All-Star Game was decided with a home run derby, apparently, and Taylor Jones won it for the South Division.

Jones was also named the game's MVP.

AAA LHP Buddy Boshers has been really good the last 60 days. Since May 1 he has thrown 21.1 innings with 29k and only 3bb. He’s 30 years old so not a prospect at all, but you know you’ve got a good team when the 38th guy on the 40 man roster is a decent lefty reliever who can dominate in AAA.

If 7th rd pick Cesar Salazar ends up being assigned to Quad Cities, 6 of that teams 8 everyday position players will be 2018 draftees:

    C Salazar
    1B Schrieber
    (2B Angarita)
    (SS Sierra)
    3B Hensley
    RF Taylor
    CF Mattix
    LF Costes

I thought they said Salazar was going to tri city? Right now I think it's an even split for the position players, with everyone under 22 in TC, and everyone over 22 in QC, so Salazar would fit in on the Riverbandits roster.

That's 4 straight solid outings, hopefully he's turning a corner.

Small nit. Jones is likely going to split his season between AA and AAA, right?

I don’t know. It’s possible that he could be promoted after the deadline if one or two of White/Reed/Davis are traded. But for now I don’t see room for him on the roster this season.

Anxious to see how Donato does in QC. Could get on the radar with a stellar 2 months.

    About time Sandoval was promoted.

Cody Deason was added to the Tri-City roster.

Would have liked to see Cionel promoted to AAA give his performance, but he could spend more time in AA
