Am curious to hear who you think are Philly's cornerstone players? Embiib and Simmons? Who else?

Good example of how your degree does not improve your basketball IQ.

Houston announcers on their own player after he makes a boneheaded play, "What is Jeremy doing there?? He needs to pull it back!"

    lol...

So once again, why would anyone want to be mentored by a low Bball IQ scrub and journeyman like Airemy?

PS. Your insecurity and low self-esteem keeps showing... you keep bringing your scrub hero's degree and education in a basketball related topic and forum. Sad.

    They kept getting high picks
They whiffed so far on fultz

    Embiid is their best player
Trust the process was the motto
    Which Atlanta is copying now

Lin is not good enough to make a bad team better
Which is perfect so he can play stress free and with no pressure . When he had to play with a team with expectations he didn’t do too well like the rockets.

    Lin fans should be excited

Mike D'Antoni is probably more knowledgeable than the Houston announcers. He has said that he thinks Lin's BBIQ is very high.

And thanks for your concern about my insecurity and low self-esteem. Hope you feel like you are building your confidence by engaging in these discussions, too...

Its called diplomacy. Mike is not going to tell the media Airemy is a low Bball IQ scrub. We all know it lol. Well...everyone except people like you who worship him because of his non-basketball background.

Actions speak louder. If Mike really liked Airemy he could have asked Morey to try to get him.

But no good team or coach is going after Airemy because he is a scrub that tries to play hero ball.

Which is why he is bouncing around on the worst teams in the league playing meaningless minutes.

Again, no player that has any self respect would want to be mentored by a journeyman scrub like Airemy lol.

Embiib is their best player. He's in his third year in the league. In his first year, they won 28 games, which was more than the 10 they won the previous year and the 18 and 19 they won the prior 2 years. So by the time they got Embiib, they were done with the tanking and trying to win more games. His second year, they won 52 games...they had drafted Simmons that year, too, and the two of them are Philly's cornerstone players.

Lin made the Knicks better. He made Charlotte better. When he was healthy, he made the Nets better. And I know you will disagree, but the Rockets were better after he joined than they were before he joined. He would make the Hawks better if the Hawks were interested in winning and they played him as his talent and performance deserves, but they are prioritizing development of Trae Young, so Lin only gets minimal minutes or garbage time minutes. And that's fine...good decision for the Hawks given their priorities. But Lin fans would prefer in this case that they trade him...

Steve Clifford went after Lin, and Lin helped the Hornets return to the playoffs. Kenny Atkinson went after Lin. And actually, Daryl Morey did go after Lin. And D'Antoni helped invent Linsanity..."rode him like Secretariat"...

Morey learned from his mistake and dumped him as soon as he could. Paid the price as well. Had to give up a pick because Airemy was such a scrub that no one wanted him as a player.

Lakers owner said they dont want Jeremy, they want to win lol...and let him walk away. I watched those Lakers games. My god...he was terrible.

Steve Clifford also let Airemy walk when he was chasing a starting spot on one of the worst teams in the league. They didnt even bother matching Nets lol.

Yeah, Kenny really nailed it there. Lin delivered with the worst record int the league lol. Which is why they dumped him as well.

    Atlanta lol...enough said.

Mike knew Airemy's 15 mins of fame was long over and he has long forgotten the scrub.

Like I said, a scrub journeyman and a reject wherever he goes. Wears his limited welcome out really fast because people quickly realize what a scrub he is.

Airemy the scrub was the one who cost us the series with his bone headed plays in the playoffs.

Here is his high basketball IQ on display...

    That dude is delusional
The Knicks didn’t sign Lin after Linsanity
    That is a red flag
Mike D’Antoni says nice things about every player on his team
If he had satan on the team mike would say he’s a good teammate

Lin has terrible basketball IQ that’s why he’s not starting in the league as a point guard

On top of that Lin doesn’t care about winning
He only cares about his money
Look at all the stuff he’s got outside the nba
I think he started an e sports team

He left Charlotte which was a playoff team for the nets which was a rebuilding team
Once they got their high pick the traded his ass in the middle of the summer

stop lying. Harden made the Rockets better, that season, the improvement of Chandler Parsons made us better, hell Omer Asik made us better. We were 9th seed the previous two seasons barely missing the playoffs.

Lin was a real down grade from both Lowry and Dragic. The only reason we even won 45 games is because Harden carried the team, while Lin was limping behind barely performing as a starting pg.

There was a reason the scrub lost his starting job at Houston.

Airemy has been chasing a starting job ever since then.

The guy actually ran away from Hornets to the Nets just so that he could start on the worst team on the league lol...

And to think that this guy is the reason Rockets improved....hahahahahahha...

If that was the case, Morey wouldn't dump him as a negative value where he had to give up a pick. HE had him on the market for well over a year and eventually had to settle for a loss.

The lies Airemy Lin worshipers like yoeddy try to make you buy into....smh.....and on the Rockets forum that too, where we all pretty saw first hand how he negatively impacted his own team. A year later Pablo the pringles showed Airemy and his fans how a limited player can be an asset to the team if they play within their means.

Airemy just wants to be a hero his dumb fans think that he is...

Dude Lin fans were never Rockets fans
This dumb statement that Lin somehow made us better was completely made out of insecurity.
He was absolutely terrible vs Oklahoma City in the playoffs
    Thank goodness we had Beverly

The dude got demoted to the bench then traded completely based on poor and inconsistent play

We will never see any fans worse than Lin fans from now til the end of the human race

When Cesar told the apes how stupid humans were , he points to Lin fans posting on a Rockets forum

Yes, the reason he lost his starting job in Houston was because of the fit mismatch with Harden. Beverley was clearly the better fit between the two...3-and-D guy to play Robin next to Harden's Batman, where Lin could run the second unit with more playmaking skills. McHale talked about that a lot.

And yes, he left the Hornets because he wanted the chance to start and play for a coach he had a strong relationship with, rather than play backup entering the prime years of his career. Wouldn't you?

And no, I never said he was the reason Rockets improved. I responded to a post that said adding Lin to the roster guarantees a lottery pick. I cited the Knicks, Rockets and Hornets as examples where that wasn't true. Are you saying that adding Lin made the Rockets a lottery team?

The idea that Lin was a negative impact on any team he's been with is flat out stupid. Has he been over-paid? Sure. But he's had a positive impact on every team he's been on except GSW and the Lakers. At GSW, he simply hadn't raised his game to NBA levels. And with the Lakers, he had the NBA's worst coach ever.

Lin has had so many highlight games...38 vs. the Spurs, 9 3ptrs vs. the Sixers, Game 5 vs. Portland in the playoffs, etc. Beverley (whom I actually like very much) biggest game was knocking knees with Westbrook.

Lin's last game with the Rockets was in the playoffs; he left the court with under 1 second left and a lead. Go figure...

Of course the Knicks didn't sign Lin after Linsanity. The Knicks are one of the worst-run organizations in the league. Once D'Antoni left, Dolan was left to stroke Melo's ego, and everyone knows Melo didn't want Lin.

Lin only cares about money? LMAO!!!

He left Charlotte for an opportunity to start for a team instead of being a backup. Why is that so bad?

And ok, his injury had nothing to do with the Nets trading him. Ok.

Who is lying? Yes, Harden made the Rockets better. Did I say anything different?

Statistically, Lin was better than Dragic and similar to Lowry when both were on the Rockets. No doubt, Dragic and Lowry played much better after they left the Rockets. And I've said this before...if Lin had the support of his coaches the way Lowry and Dragic did in the early years of their careers, he might had developed into a much better player. Those guys were able to get out of under McHale and found situations that allowed them to flourish. Lin, unfortunately, had McHale for 2 years and then went to Byron Scott, who was so focused on Kobe in his decline and then tanking once Kobe called it for the season...those were big set-backs for Lin. He re-proved himself with Charlotte, then unfortunately injury kept him from building on that with the Nets. It's been a tough road for Lin, but it doesn't diminish the fact that he's an NBA-calibre player who positively impacts the teams that he is on.

Again making up lies, can you even read stats properly

after Lowry was out with the stomach in 2012, as a starter Dragic put up
    18.0 pts 3.5 rebounds 8.4 assists with .612 TS

Lowry himself before his stomach issue put up
    15.9 pts 5.3 rebounds 7.2 assists with .564 TS
he was getting all star mentions if I remember correctly that season

Here are Lin's stats in his first season with the Rockets
    13.4 Pts 3.0 rebound 6.1 assists with .538 TS

Tell me again which stat lines are statically better. Keep in mind this is all under McHale, not Adelman, so there goes your excuse about Lin not getting support because both Lowry and Dragic put up near all star numbers under McHale.

Both Lowry and Dragic have faced adversity and lack of playing times in their careers, they've both been benched, traded and played for a number of coaches. In the end they fought their way back to All Star players on playoff teams. What has Lin been doing

If you compare their Per 36 minutes stats, they are all much closer than the stats you are quoting. Per 36, Lin was 14.9ppg, 6.8ast, Dragic was 15.9ppg 7.2ast, and Lowry was 16ppg, 7.4ast. And Lin did this handling the ball much less since Harden handled the ball much more than any of the SGs that Lowry and Dragic played with. Also note that both Dragic and Lowry had more playing experience than Lin when they were with the Rockets...you are bringing up stats from Lowry's 6th year in the league, and Dragic's 4th year. When Lin started with the Rockets, he was in his 3rd year, where his 2nd year was strike-shortened, and his first year he was activated for less than 30 games.

None of those were "near all-star numbers"...none of those guys were playing like All-Stars until they left the Rockets.

Anyways, I came here to talk about Lin and his time with the Atlanta Hawks (per the title of the thread). You guys are all into this re-hashing of the past...
