Schalke defender Thilo Kehrer (21) to PSG for €37m. Guess that kills the Boateng deal.

Had a solid season and helped Schalke establish one of the better defenses of the Bundesliga, but that's hard to bring into context because they didn't play in European competition last year. Don't think he can help win the CL immediately. PSG must see some Boateng-like development potential in him, because even for PSG standards that's a lot of money for an unproven young gun. Clearly Tuchel behind this.

I think mah favorites for the Finals are

    Juve (Obvious reason)
    Barca
    Pool FC
    Bayern (Real, City, PSG)

Real, City and PSG probably Quarters or Semis.

I read an interesting observation during the World Cup about the differences between Telemundo and Fox: Spanish announcers anticipate the play and get excited about what it could become whereas American announcers react to what’s already happened and only get really excited after the fact. So, even if you only understand a bit of Spanish, watching on Univision could be more exciting anyway than an inexperienced Turner crew.

    Anticipation needs time, decades.

There is so much Futbol tradition in Spanish speaking countries, it is phenomenal.
