This might have been Dekkers best game tonight . Even with the missed shots he kept his head down and didn't get discouraged . You could tell he was tired late in the game since he had been in since the 4 minute mark of the third and he usually doesn't play for stretches as long as that .

-Dekker moves off ball exceptionally well
-His positional defense is superb for a rook
-He's going to have ups and downs
-Despite this it looks like his confidence is solid

He's athletic and I think his eventual position is the 3 becuase he struggled to match nance Jr. and randle in strength .

If his shooting comes around he is a hell of a bench player and given his age and experience should develop into a starter in the next year or so . Great pick

The chemistry is gelling so good now - Spurs-esque, plug and play with all the movement. Communication on D has been clutch and has room to grow. Boogie ain't about gellin. He about him. Harden ain't gonna make the same mistake twice with a big baby. Noel? Hmmmm.

Sam Dekker is the hero Houston deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

His spinning layup off that Beverley pass against the Lakers was so gorgeous to watch

He's really starting to show that swag he showed at Wisconsin. Looking like the best NBA player to come out of that team that included Frank the Tank Kaminsky.

He needs to play the Iguodala role here.

    Important player for the Rockets.

Dekker has been great all season. He looks better than he actually is because of the D'Antoni system. If he can create his own shots on a consistent basis, then he would be Parson 2.0.

Pretty good comparison here especially for where Iggy is right now in his career. Dekker does so much for the Rockets defensively when he's out there. Also can go to the rim off the dribble if he gets the ball in a dominant position and finishes well.

3 pt shot is there and he looks good in transition.

Dekker plays pretty long. Arms are always up crowding people or getting rebounds. Also Dekker doesn't fall for pump fakes. He just stays long and moves his feet. Very Battier-like. Just a nice utility player. He just needs to keep it up and play through his rookie wall when it hits.

The Lakers make everyone look like a star. Talk about pathetic defense. Tissue paper defense opponent aside, Dekker has a great motor and good athleticism. Good role player off the bench. He deserves more minutes.

I'll leave those decisions to the front office. I'm just naming big talents that I could possibly see becoming available (though Westbrook is probably wishful thinking).

I was definitely being near-sighted with that comment. Clearly one more piece away from the big dance.
