We are back for season 5 of the world famous 3-MLB-Teams-Per-Owner League! Here's how it works... Basically, the league has 10 fantasy teams, and instead of drafting players, each owner drafts 3 MLB teams. 30 MLB teams / 10 owners = 3 MLB teams per owner. You get all the players on the 3 teams you end up drafting and use those players to make up your lineup. There is no trading. You can add/drop free agents, but you can ONLY pick up players who are on one of the 3 teams you drafted (I will police this manually). So, say you end up drafting the Yankees, Dodgers and Pirates... then your roster will be comprised of only these players for the whole year. The challenge comes with picking 3 MLB teams that fit well together. It will be a three round draft. The first two rounds will be regular serpentine style, but the third round will be randomized. The scoring system is fantasy points head-to-head, similar to fantasy football scoring. Starting lineups and other details are listed below. Since there is no trading and because lineups are set weekly (not daily), this will be a relatively low-maintenance league. If you are interested, post a message here. We'll do the draft here on the BBS, and we'll get it going ASAP once the league is filled up. Please let me know your team name from last season if not identified above, so that I know which teams to renew.
Suggestion: If the site allows, can you enable decimal scoring? (There's a setting for this in fantasy football scoring) Seems silly to tie if it's not necessary. Consideration: Anyone up for 6 teams making the playoffs, top 2 getting a bye? With so much randomization, it sucks when teams give up so early in the season because they don't have a shot anymore. I think the top 6 getting in would keep more people engaged and ultimately make the league better/more competitive.
I don't remember my team name from last year, but I'd like my team name to be: Keegan Yuhl-C I can't even take this kid seriously anymore, I really really hope that he becomes a future Cy Young winner!

League is renewed and the following teams were auto-renewed: Al Starz Cody Jay Chalupa Batman kaleidosky Fade Everyone else, please send me your e-mail address so I can send an invite.
I'll be back, with a renewed focus. Things got a bit out of whack for me last year but I've gotten them sorted out for the most part.
Hahaha I just noticed that I won the consolation bracket even though I completely forgot to do anything after June. How the hell?
Who is Team Discovery Channel and Kenny Powers Posse? The mismatch between BBS names and team names is seriously annoying...

This is like fantasy communism, but if you have an open slot at the end of the week, then I will put my name in to fill it and take the title easy peasy to free you. And I'm craving to try my first shamrock shake ever for some reason.
Fine with me but I'm not sure how decimal scoring would work in baseball where all stats have binary outcomes.
I've always thought the one thing Fantasy leagues have gotten wrong over the last 20 years is that they should translate the weekly scores to a baseball score like say 7-6 or a football score of like 24-17 to give it more meaning, and it would not be hard to do, and you could maintain the point totals too as you do need that.
