The guy that they traded Kyrie for isn't doing too well And why does Koby think he can get a 1st round pick for a 36 years old guy that can't move and on a $22 million, 3 years contract? https://thebiglead.com/2018/11/04/collin-sexton-cavaliers-issues/ “It’s becoming increasingly clear that when you hear a Cavs veteran talk about younger players not knowing their role, or knowing how to win, or what to do on the court, they mean Sexton. Throughout the organization, the line on Sexton is that he does not “know how to play.” He doesn’t know how to defend the pick and roll. He doesn’t know how to set up teammates as a point guard.” While George Hill reportedly told Sexton he would teach him how to play defense, the players in the locker room don’t think he will even listen to him. “They still think he’s a nice kid. But they see his deficiencies, they know he’s going to be on the court, and they’re discouraged when after these losses, he doesn’t seem bothered by them.
Anyone have thoughts on sexton recently? Just curious how people feel about him. Last thing I remember about him is people hyping his intensity and defense with that r****ded Def form and glare during 1 preseason possession lol
J.R. Smith Believes Cavs Entered 18-19 Planning To Rebuild At 2-13, the Cleveland Cavaliers now have the worst record in the NBA. J.R. Smith believes the Cavaliers always planned to be bad this season. “I don’t think the goal is to win. The goal isn’t to go out there and try to get as many wins as you can,” Smith said. “I think the goal is to develop and lose to get lottery picks. I think that was always the plan.” Smith is not interested in being part of the rebuild “Not if the goal isn’t to compete, to win,” he said. Smith has requested a trade twice, but he remains with the franchise because he's refused to accept a buyout. Smith doesn't currently have a relationship with Koby Altman.
Cavs finally getting smart and starting to tank. It will be funny (and a bit sad) if Lebron 2.0 ends up with the Cavs again.
I'm not sure deciding to tank was much of a choice, they were going to be 10/11 bad no matter what they thought.
Lebron took the worst team in the NBA to the Finals. They pretty much brought back everyone except Lebron and they looked terrible. Its either Finals or no1 pick for the Cavs no tread-milling.
