It was terrible from the start. Baynes posterized Gobert in the first couple of minutes and had his way early on with little effort-help or close outs by the french team. The French looked overrated from the start and I hadn't even kept up with their pre-olympic exhibition games so I didn't know they were on a losing streak ever since Olympic qualification was secured. Just a terrible performance.
Jimmy Butler, heh. That dude tried to cross him over, Butler just stands there, and then beats the guy down the court for a layup. That was nice. Dude, that's Jimmy Butler. Go try that stuff on Melo.
Thompson can't do anything besides catch and shoot. He looks pathetic when he's trying to make plays for others.
We see it every international competition too, the guy gets really aggressive and you see the major flaws in his game. Any ways... Yi is such wasted potential, it's sad.
I'm just watching to see Zhou Qi and whether Draymond punches anyone in the jewels. So far... not much to see. Doug Collins calling Yi a lazy b*stard was a bit amusing though. I had no idea.
Kind of amazing the players that AREN'T on Team USA. Lebron James Steph Curry James Harden Chris Paul Russell Westbrook Anthony Davis Kawhi Leonard Blake Griffin This team would win gold easily.
The vast majority of players drafted in the top 10 that fail aren't "wasted". Like most, the minute Yi joined the NBA he was exposed as not being very good. The NBA is shock therapy compared to college and international leagues.
So much truth in this post, I always laugh at the guy in pick up games who swears he would be in the league if it wasn't for x excuse. College to NBA isn't a step ahead it's more like an escalator
