the US gets up 15 and then bricks a wide open 3, airballs a 3 footer, whiffs on an alley-oop and airballs a fadeaway. come on. play decent offense and you put this away. throw in the fact we immediately give up 3 wide open 3's (luckily gasol missed) and we just fell apart when it looked like we were on a roll.

On to the gold medal game.

Bring it home where it belongs.

he took like a half step after he actually got a grip on the ball. that's just making calls to make calls.

I give US credit for stepping up the intensity early on this game. No one player was on fire, and they still played the typical ISO game, but DeAndre Jordan led a team rebounding effort and disrupted Spain's schemes.

Spain was very foolish to feed Gasol when he's matched up against Jordan in the post. Looks like the US just always has Spain's number in FIBA games.

Exactly. Totally got irresponsible when we had the lead. Just sloppy. Need to be more focused.

I haven't seen anything yet. If I had to guess it'll probably be around 1 or 2 on Sunday.

yeah, it was actually good when cousins fouled out because it meant jordan would play the rest of the game. so many blocks and challenges, grabs rebounds, doesn't get in the way on offense. terrible game from melo and so-so game from durant and we win so that's good because that means we had to play good D.

butler continues to be astoundingly bad on offense. for some reason near the end of the game the US kept taking quick shots. all we needed to do was run some time. i know the quarters are 10 minutes but even then the minutes just seem to fly by in international basketball.

If they had Marc Gasol...I'd totally see this Spain team possible beat this USA team.

They should have taken him out a long time ago. He did absolutely nothing out there and was hurting them more than anytnjng else. Not a threat offensively. Couldn't even stay infront of lowry. No reason for him to really be out there

shastarocket, thanks for posting those game times.

I don't think lull is an NBA player. He looks like he would struggle a bit. Nothing really stands out about him tbh
