Stating the obvious: Melo and Kyrie saved that group of jokers.

That said, Klay Thompson was probably the worst player on the court and Coach K refused to take him out of the game. They basically finished that game 4-on-5.

Klay is pulling a Harrison Barnes. If this is what it looks like when he can't get into rhythm due to less touches, that could be troublesome for the Warriors.

It's going to go down to the wire between Argentina and Lithuania.

Unfortunately Scola is being exposed on the defensive end, they're constantly working through his man.

He's 36 and never was athletic. He's playing on heart and smarts nowadays.

    Great game from Serbia.

Maurey needs to get Teodosic. Make it happen.

I'm not so sure it's that team USA sucks. It's more likely that every time they beat Serbia to the hoop, they just fouled. It was pretty cheap. It was a hack-a-everyone.

The U.S. defense has been pathetic the last two games. They should've won both games by 20+ if they played better defense. There have been so many amateur mistakes for the best players in the world. Quarterfinals and beyond will become even tougher if they don't solve their defensive woes.

I'm really surprised considering Tom Thibodeau is behind the defense and there are some elite individual defenders on this team. They just haven't played elite defense as a team. Even playing average defense would have them winning these games pretty comfortably. It's almost as if they would rather just try to win the game on just the offensive end a la the Rockets.

marc j spears is a warriors nuthugger, he is trying to subtly bash kyrie

can you imagine if kyrie was on team australia instead of team usa lol

its funny watching all these players that espn have hyped up. klay cant seem to get off the bench and this a guy who espn and turner sports have dubbed the best 2 gaurd in the nba. fiba guards have no respect for him

also notice how euro bigs all of sudden start abusing the smaller draymon green in fiba, draymon cant get away with his kicks and pushes like he can in the nba

cant believe that team usa thought that they could bring the start 5 of the warriors to the olympics and just show up and win hahaha, reality check fools, fiba refs call the game straight down the middle no favoritism

no klay will be fine in the scripted nba where they dont call any foul, illegal screen for the warriors. You are right though, in fiba he is useless

Damn, not sure how I never realized this before. Harden2Capela is back. Oh well, at least you've kept your idiocy to a tolerable level this time.

i remember the defense being so good at the world championships (numbers might prove me wrong but that was my feeling) and thinking how good it was to have thibs on the staff. the PnR defense especially was really good. now it's back to the confused defense of 2006 or so when we never knew what to do on a PnR and would just give up wide open layups. if we're not going to play actual PnR defense then it feels like we should switch everything so communication isn't as necessary.
