He's the guy we need. We could have really used him last year. I would bat him third and Correa fourth.
well I wouldn't rush the rookie into 3rd just yet. Start him in the 7th/8th spot and let him gain confidence then move up. I'd venture to say Correa will be in the 3rd spot most of the year
Tyler White also leading the entire roster in batting avg at .375 for the spring. His spring reminds me of Hunter Pence's boom out the box to force his way onto the lineup. Only blemish was an error trying to field a tough through..he should've caught it though
White's bat fits better near the bottom of the lineup anyways with his contact ability being able to offset the high K group of Valbuena, Castro, Gattis (eventually), etc.
They gave the error to Correa, but it is a play a first baseman should make. (not taking anything away from White - every fielder makes errors or doesn't make plays from time to time)
I like how we are playing as the team starts to get ready for the start of the season. Pitching and hitting looks even better than last season.
ah ok didn't realize it was on Correa. Felt like a plus defender would've scooped that ball up, and White almost had it (it looked like the ball may have dropped out of his glove)...I guess I'm so ready for White at 1B that I'm paying extra attention to all of his at bats and defense...still loving what I see so far. Go Whitey! I mean White.
Danny Worth anyone? Just hit a double and drove in three runs as a pinch hitter.... kind of sucks to have to just let him go.
The guy just rakes.

Tyler White just hit a 3-run double to right. I'm going to call it now. Chris Devenski with an awesome showing this spring. 10 IP, 15 K's, 0BB, 1 ER. Gonna be interesting to see if he can repeat last years results at AAA and get on to some radars. Feliz also had a good showing. Some of the shine came of his prospect status last year, but his stuff is still powerful.
Kind of like when a pitcher throws a ball that bounces. Regardless of how easy the bounce may be, if it gets by the catcher, they will invariably call it a wild pitch.
Absolutely mind boggling that Devo isn't on many, if any at all, top 30 organizational prospect lists.
Looking over the projected roster, it wouldn't be out of the question that we get 15+ HR's from every starter. Has that ever been done?
Nice little article by Brian T. Smith on the end of the Astros' run in Kissimmee. Always wanted to get out there for Spring Training, guess I'll set my target for West Palm Beach now.
Heineman with a good game as well behind the plate and 2 rbi. Wonder if he's done enough to get the backup position. I would think it's between him or an outsider
