Some alarms going off in my head right now.

Hinch says McCullers' bullpen is pushed back. Well if McCullers isn't ready to go, then having Feldman, Fiers and fister in the rotation is a pretty damn good alternative. Gotta love that depth
He had a .742 OPS before yesterday. You'd like to see him take some more walks and show more power. It just hasn't been enough games. One game swings the stats so much. The most important thing is that he hasn't looked completely overmatched liked Singleton.
This is Reed's first extended run against MLB pitching... and its not even the appropriate sample as he's facing pitchers for usually only 1 AB before facing another one (you don't see his ability to make adjustments to the pitcher, or to look for something different with each AB... which is a big part of why hitters can have success). Nobody should be over-analyzing spring stats... unless they are all abysmal stats and players are clearly overmatched (like you know who).
McCullers MRI came clean, very good news. Mc should start the season in the minors. That means, Feldman will be our number 5 starter, but he is injury prone so we REALLY need Straily, Musgrove, Feliz and Wojo to have good ST because we are going to need them.
No reason to add the unless unless you think MLB pitching clearly overmatches Paul Goldschmidt. You can look at MLB regular season stats to say one is likely overmatched and one isn't...but then that isn't based on Spring stats.
Mainly talking about guys who have never made consistent contact in the majors (Singleton)... and it continues on into spring training. Even if Singleton were tearing it up, I agree it wouldn't matter until you do it for real when it counts. The problem is, you have to show a pulse at some level... whether its ST or regular season.
Singleton would have been better off doing more cardio and slimming down. He was never that big of a power hitter. He was better when he was younger and thinner and his swing was more fluid but still...he hasn't hit over .267 in the minors since 2012 in Corpus when he was 20.
Did you play college ball? Curious. I think you make a great point, although hitters tend to do better by average each AB with the same pitcher.
Moran is the guy to watch. Can he become an outfielder? Wouldn't mind him getting some corner starts to limiT Jakes AB's this year.
