AT&T GoPhone ZTE Zmax 2 is $50 at bestbuy right now. This can be unlocked to be used on other GSM carriers for free through ATT or for a few buck on ebay. This is a fantastic deal for those who needs a no frills phone. Snapdragon 410 2gb RAM 16gb storage with microSD card 5.5" 720P screen 4G LTE with band 12 The camera is pretty crappy, but you can't get a better phone for $50.
I got it wet from condensation about 6 months ago. It worked again after about a day. I live in Austin and after about 10 days of straight rain it just stopped working. The screen was doing weird stuff for a few days and then nothing. And yes sometimes I would have it on the counter playing music when I would take a shower. That probably didn't help either.
Yeah I considered waiting and getting a holdover phone. But it's not that big of a deal. The 7plus is an excellent phone. I probably won't wait 3 years this time to upgrade, more likely 2 years. I'm also going to get either a 27" iMac or a retina laptop. So Apple will be getting more than enough of my going to school currently poor person money this year.
For anybody interested in the Axon 7 $299.88 w/tax on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...7367ad111e6b3a506ddc1f9ee330INT&ie=UTF8&psc=1 not sure if it's a price mistake since the silver one is $399 still, it's from Amazon, downside shipping time is 3-5 weeks, which is fine by me so I can decide if Pixel is going to be worth it and can cancel it before it ships
Wish it was supported for use with my Sprint Sim card....Nice looking phone, and nice price at $277 on amazon.
It sold out, made Slickdeals Frontpage after I posted and was sold out within 30 mins I went to nearby Best Buy since they had a a demo there, phone is impressive, definitely built well, speedy as hell but..... Not impressed by the camera, it's not bad, but currently using the 6P, not even in the same league. Maybe a deal breaker for me....
Yeah it was only $277 when I clicked on Dave's link earlier. $22 less than when he posted it, twas a nice deal.
Just wanted to thank you for the zmax pro endorsement. I picked up a couple for my folks through a metro pcs promo and unlocked them to use on T-mobile. At about $80, its an absolute bargain and a no brainer.
From reviews I watched and read, this is the same thing I've heard and seen online. This is why I've been reluctant and your review further confirms it. Thanks for the post though
nothing lately except renders showing the it's about the size of a galaxy note (better handling than both the n6 and n6p), but slightly smaller screen size. also pricing is rumored at 650 (not sure if that's the 128 version). "throw it on the bag." pixel xl this year and will see if apple goes all out next year as rumored.
slightly better handling may be a good trade-off for me personally without that big of a difference in screen real estate. and the speakers? meh. if htc is making it, as rumored, hopefully it had the same setup as the htc 10 (earpiece for full range and bottom for low frequency). having had that device for a while, it wasn't as loud, but it was more crisp. we'll see. i'm more excited for the build quality, which they are known for. sturdy. tired of having to take my 6p out of my pocket when i sit down.
crickets. rumored date was wrong. screenshots were included in nougat release online, but obviously didn't come in tow.
yeah the build quality should be top notch if made by HTC. I hope it's at least like the HTC 10 speaker setup, but everyone will probably just say OH THEY COPIED APPLE!! =p I'm ready for a smaller phone for sure but would have liked a 5.5" in an LG sized phone. Regardless, I'll end up loving the phone =)
