Looks like someone is pissed about all of the South Oklahoma Rangers rumors. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Official: Chris Sale has been scratched from tonight’s scheduled start.<br><br>STATEMENT: <a href="https://t.co/wOB8JTsjzu">pic.twitter.com/wOB8JTsjzu</a></p>— Chicago White Sox (@whitesox) <a href="https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/756983172089384960">July 23, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Astros broadcast just said that Rangers brass is gathering to discuss a trade for Sale. Looks like it's happening. Not good news for Astros.
No idea if true, but if so this is hilarious: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Not a joke: Source says Sale blowup was because he didn't want to wear throwbacks, so he cut the jerseys up so no one could wear them.</p>— Tommy Stokke (@StokkeTommy) <a href="https://twitter.com/StokkeTommy/status/757000213731037184">July 23, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Depends what their giving up. If they mortgage their future, our path in the future becomes that much easier.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Chris Sale coming out and saying he now wants to be traded, thus killing his trade value, would be a very <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WhiteSox?src=hash">#WhiteSox</a> thing to happen.</p>— Tommy Stokke (@StokkeTommy) <a href="https://twitter.com/StokkeTommy/status/756988304403238912">July 23, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
This. The Astros could easily beat whatever the rangers are offering but no one player is worth burning down the farm.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Source: "Sale asked that they not wear (throwbacks) on his day because they are uncomfortable. Things escalated when they wouldn't relent."</p>— Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) <a href="https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/status/757005141581193216">July 24, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
For what its' worth, Sale has had an ERA of 4.67 over his last 10 games. And I hear he hates throwbacks.
