Ramadan Mubarak brehs! May the days go by quickly, and the struggles be manageable! May this month humble us all, and make us stronger and better versions of ourselves! I looked up my previous two threads and the one prior to that to see that there is about a week and a half to two week difference every year (since Islam is based off of lunar calendar not solar). Anyway, This is probably the longest Ramadan to date! So stay strong everyone!
Ramadan Mubarak! I planned on being more dedicated this year, but I'm already off to a slow start, haha
I have been on fasting now ( juice fasting ) mostly vegetable juice. I lsot 12 lbs already and joint pains are gone.
I'm not a Muslim, but I wish all of my Clutchfans brothers and sisters that do practice a healthy and safe Ramadan... may your spiritual rewards be plentiful!
16 hours this year. Not gonna lie first few days is tough especially since I eat every few hours. Ramadan Mubarak to anyone fasting, hope you attain all the benefits physically and spiritually.
I use two juicers. Breville and Blendtec. If I don't have time to make vegetable juice and hungry, I use Blentec to make a spinach juice with a cup of green veggies like organic spinach from Costco and fresh orange juice from HEB.
one thing that's easy to make using your high speed blender like Ninja. 1 cucumber water, ice and honey easy.
Good luck to you guys. I always feel bad eating something around my Muslim buddies during the month of Ramadan. Always seems like the first few days are the hardest, but after that is smooth sailing.
Thanks for sharing! Thanks for sharing! Yeah man, first few days is hard mainly because the body and mind needs time to adjust to the extreme change of eating and hydrating. I'd say about a week in it's no longer a big issue, just energy is zapped the whole month for me to be honest.
Happy Ramadan to those who follow it. Quick question - what would the rules be if you lived, e.g., in the very north of Sweden and the sun never really sets during these months?
Rule will vary depending on who you ask. I know there are people who will actually fast 18+ hours a day for the month of Ramadan basing their fast times around Fajr prayer and Maghrib prayer. Others will fast as long as they can. Islam is not about hurting yourself, if you're strong enough to fast the whole time, then great! If not, then do what you can, as long as your intention is good. This is what I've been told at least.
