Penn - Osemele - Hudson - Jackson - Watson/Howard = Best line in the NFL. Raiders are going to take the AFC west if they can find some guys who can play defense in the draft.
One of the two or three best on paper but we will have to wait and see. It is certainly a huge offensive line. We will have to see how they all gel together. I still really like the Cowboys line and I think the Patriots are going to be better controlling the line than people think with two huge, very good blocking tight ends and they will get use of Cooper's talent. I will be interested to see how Derek Carr does this season. Will he be a guy like Stafford that puts up big numbers but isn't special or will he start to become a real elite quarterback that leads a team. The physical tools are there.
They have 11 draft picks? Didn't they have a couple docked from deflate-gate or was that last year? They're just on a different level than everyone else.
NE lost their first to deflate gate. Second round (No. 60) Second round (No. 61, from Arizona, via Chandler Jones trade) Third round (No. 91) Third round (No. 96, compensatory) Sixth round (No. 196, from Houston/Keshawn Martin trade) Sixth round (No. 204, from Chicago/Martellus Bennett trade) Sixth round (No. 208, compensatory) Sixth round (No. 214, compensatory) Sixth round (No. 221, compensatory) Seventh round (No. 243, from Houston/Ryan Mallett trade) Seventh round (No. 250) http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-...-in-sixth-round-of-draft-with-five-selections
Bill Belichick is still schooling the league on how to get things done in the offseason even when he has has so little to work with. Goes from having no money in free agency and no first-round pick in the draft to acquiring 4 former first-round picks Chris Long, Johnathan Cooper, Shea McClellin, Donald Brown, and second-rounder Martellus Bennett. Meanwhile, Belichick now also owns 4 of the top 100 picks in the draft. Sure, giving up his best pass rusher Jones might be a risky move, but if Cooper works out then protecting Brady under center will alway trump any pass-rusher deficiency. Plus, with those extra picks, Belichick could easily move up and find a quality replacement for Jones in the draft. That's just the old-school hustler in Belichick that everyone hates, but who also keeps putting his team in a position to win year after year.
