Griffin is still on his rookie deal as a 6th round pick. I doubt he makes enough money to clear a lot of room. Griffin is actually the perfect blend of CJ and Anderson. He is not horrible as a blocker and is a capable pass catcher. I would keep him until CJ proves he can catch and/or Anderson proves he can block.

Most intelligent people would've drafted Derrick Carr two years ago. Hell, I would've been happy with Bortles and Bridgewater. It's the Texans fault for putting themselves in this unnecessary position and signing an unproven QB to a large contract.

The love for @HoustonTexans center Nick Martin is real. That's some high praise indeed and YUGE considering Brown is hurt, Newton had a down year, and X may never be good.
Really? And how many of those have experience in the league? They would have to learn the league. Brock has been the league 4 years...learning...playing in regular season games. I would rather choose that type of QB and use draft picks on other needs. Because the Texans didn't have to use picks on a QB, they were able to get Fuller and Miller (no trading needed).
Man, all this hype. I know it happens every year, but this year it seems to be starting early and more widespread. We all remember camp stars every year, but I still get hooked. If half this hype is real, this team has a shot at 12 wins, if healthy.
Yeah that's the issue with Anderson, he's really not a TE so much as he is a big body WR, you NEVER want him trying to block a D lineman or OLB. I think he can bring a bit to the team with his catching ability, but he's not someone that is really a TE. As to Fairbairn, I also hope he gets the job, Novak simply doesn't have the leg to kick from 50 like Fairbairn can from 60.
Yes I get that. I'm just arguing that it wasn't "necessary" to go after Brock. We always have options and hopefully Brock was the right one.
He was the best option the Texans had once they passed up on Carr. I know we have crazies who are trying to call Brock a bust already despite literally nothing to support that but his performance last year would have been the best in the AFC South according to PFF and we know how much people here love them some PFF.
Anderson is really an H-Back. If we keep him, it will as a 3rd TE, but I'm betting OB/GO use him like an H-back.
I'm anxiously awaiting Mr Clutch to tell me who the newest/next/greatest bust will be (he hinted at Osweiler on Day1), it's been 4 or 5 days, I expect promptness.
