Sean jones hot take: Preseason doesn't matter, rosters are set before training camp even begins. His example? Making fun of fans who got upset that Charles James got cut last year. Said "where is he now?" And laughs. (Editorial note: he ended up back with the team and was a huge part of special team) He and clanton then laugh about him not being cut yet but that it is coming. Jones then laughs at Charles James and says see ya.
I've really come to enjoy Sean Jones' takes. He brings more to the table than ND and Koch who try to stay in the middle, safe ground. They never say anything controversial, and that means they are either too afraid to speak their minds or that they have no opinions at all. I'm not sure which is worse, but it's becoming a snooze fest. It sucks now because the two best shows in Houston sports radio (MAD radio and LanceZ + Matt Thomas) are competing against each other, while the rest of the daytime sportstalk radio schedule in Houston is nigh unlistenable. Except for that time a couple of days ago when Charlie lost it and yelled for half an hour nonstop at all his listeners who wanted us to give AJ Reed a shot. He hates AJ Reed so much lol. I think it's bc AJ Reed is obese and Pallilo is tiny tiny, like 5'6 135lbs on a good day.

To me, Sean Jones is the worst sports radio personality in the city. The definition of the get off my lawn guy who has no knowledge of the current Houston sports outlook. Clanton has to tell him who players on the Texans and Astros are.
As long as Rich Lord is still cashing checks, there will be no worse radio personality, no one less knowledgeable, and no one who embodies "get off my lawn" more. Like most former players, Jones talks too much about the past. No one really cares anymore about the Luv Ya Blue era. Still, as far as having an angle on stories goes, I find him more insightful than the lukewarm pair of ND and Greg.

Would love this guy here; 3rd round pick for the Titans last year

Personnel guy I have a lot of respect for just shot me this. If he's good he'll be hard to get. Waiver order. Our best bet is vets that get cut that teams don't claim contracts on. A guy only in his 3rd year is a guy you claim on waivers if you want him.
unfortunately o-line depth is weak across the league, how many that could help us will make it to us on the waiver wire?
the charlie P bit on Reed was hilarious. He even got Nolan ryan to comment on how FAAAAAAT? reed is. It even got me to google AJ reed's fatness from last season to this season. I couldn't find any definite pictures that showed he just ate from last May to this year. Sean jones and Clanton make me want to throw up. so much negativity. It's still a miracle that they're not no. 1 in the ratings since it seems a lot of houston fans tend to be doom and gloom; or the what have done for me lately lately crowd. My perfect show would be charlie p mixed in with some sexy wexy and Lance z before he got a twitter account. To get this thread back on it's rails...NFL real game Thursday! woo.
