Nope, for the most part my posts are gold....even if it takes some people a long time to realize it.

Pulling for Stephen Anderson to win that Starting TE spot. Soft hands and explosiveness. 2 things we've lacked in that position.

I doubt he'll truly start because he brings nothing at all to the table as a blocker, I do think he will get a lot of playing time due to what he brings as a receiver. I think Fiedorowicz has the starting spot on lock due to being much more well rounded than any of the others.

CJ moves like an offensive lineman with bad hands. Sure it's more to it than just catching but I think it will come down to Griff and Anderson

Fair enough. I mean, that's not really what the word out of camp is, and that's never really been the scouting report on him but we'll see what happens. Personally I expect him to be the starter at TE and I expect about 40 receptions from him this season. I also think Stephen Anderson will produce in the passing game, but his limitations as a blocker will lead to him being on the field less often. He's basically just another WR when he's out there.

I think it would be pretty shocking if CJ isnt the starter. I see him as the clear starter...then hoping Anderson has enough as a receiver to make an impact with our offense.

How is Filo looking, other than being a bust thus far?

This will honestly depend on how he develops as a blocker. If he isn't at least serviceable, CJ will probably come out of TC with the starting spot due to being the only one who has the physical ability to block consistently unless his hands never transition out of practice performance. I say physical ability though, since he was a terrible blocker last season. A starting TE has to be able to play a lot of reps and you can't do that if opposing D just runs roughshod all over you when your team isn't airing it out. If the only thing you can do is get open and catch, at best, you are a situational player since teams know exactly what's going to happen barring any sort of trickery. Currently, the odds are against him due to his size and strength. That said, he seems like a really smart, hardworking player, so he maybe able to develop the technique needed to be at least a serviceable blocker.

Sophomore wall and rust from getting hurt last season. Any time a rookie gets hurt, it really sets back development. Everything in the first two years are like a jam packed crash course for the rest of your career in the NFL IMO.

I'm not terribly worried about KJ. Injuries, and he's still young. Look at how Kareem Jackson's career progressed, for example. At least now, the team is in a position to scale back Johnson's reps during the season, if need be. Joseph and Jackson are good players. Bouye isn't half bad, either. Charles James is what he is, which is probably average at this point. Our CB corps are somewhat of a strength of our great defense, so I'm not too worried.

Outside of the truly elite prospects, cornerback is a slower position to develop. I'm not worried much about KJ. Willing to give him time.

I'm not terribly worried either but I have never been a fan of him being picked by the Texans. If they desperately wanted a CB they should have gone with Peters. I said this even before the season started. Kareem Jackson still doesn't turn around. Good tackler and puts himself in good position, but is neither a poor man's shut down like JJo nor a ball hawk. If that is what Kevin Johnson projects to then I'm not impressed. Bouye usually has good camps and pre-seasons and then disappears during the season.

Bouye has been solid, and has gotten better as time has gone on. Kevin Johnson showed flashes of being a shut down corner last year (not many rookies could handle the task of marking Mike Evans one-on-one), and now he's coming off 2 surgeries in the same off-season. The kid has a knack of being in the right place on routes....that's all you can ask from a first year player.
