Sorry if posted. But yikes @ Ty's ranking here: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">My ranking of the free agent point guards. <a href="https://t.co/NRSyLoXphZ">pic.twitter.com/NRSyLoXphZ</a></p>— Nate Duncan (@NateDuncanNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/NateDuncanNBA/status/748226693333028865">June 29, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
So two fringe players and Beverly (a rotation player) were our options at PG last year. And currently just Bev on the team. We need a massive upgrade there.
LOL Look at all those ex-Rockets on there. Pretty pathetic list of 'point guards' since Harden came to town. Spoiler Patrick Beverley Aaron Brooks Toney Douglas Jeremy Lin Scott Machado Isaiah Canaan Nick Johnson Pablo Prigioni Alexey Shved Jason Terry Ty Lawson Andrew Goudelock
Terrible, However Douglas behind Lin was not bad. He shot 37,7 from three and he was an average defender.I liked him, it was a fun team to watch with delfino etc.
Lin really does get a bad rap here. I think he's better than the beloved Beverly. I think people associate the $15m in his final year with his worth a little too much. And the only reason he was traded was for the chance to get Bosh. I'd take him back in a heartbeat if the price was right.
I just saw on Patrick Patterson's snapchat that he is in Houston and was at Toyota Center. Anyone know why? Is he on the return?
People tie the construction of the team too closely with their enjoyment of a fan site. It's almost as if they allow the fans of a single person to force them to actively root for failure of their own team. I've never understood that (not to sound too Karen Hill).
Some, but not a lot. You can check by position time here: http://www.82games.com/1516/15CHI6.HTM#bypos The % is the % of the total time available at that position that a certain player played. So Butler played 11% of the Bulls SF minutes last year as the SF. And 50% of their SG minutes. It should also be noted, the team was much worse in those minutes he did play at SF.
So Whiteside is looking for a stable organization, would you consider Houston that? I see people calling Portland, Dallas and Miami the 3 destinations now. https://twitter.com/HPbasketball/status/748195732859957249
A 3 way deal would be great but it's not going to be easy... Beverley, Ariza and fillers out (maybe Brewer if Colangelo is that dumb) with Nerlens and Rubio in...eh...would also be good to steal Covington from him if we trade Trevor, Saric is coming so Rob should have at least 3 guys in front of him with Simmons, Saric and Grant.
