Speaking of Goff, he has quite a challenge today. I think we'll know a lot more about what he's made of this time tomorrow.
So our strategy should be to draft someone slightly better( debatable) than the trash we have now ... makes perfect sense
SI has us grabbing Goff with the 4th overall pick: http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/10/13/2016-nfl-mock-draft-robert-nkemdiche-lions
I think when its said and done at the end of the year, three guys will grade out as franchise guys: Cook Goff Hackenberg I'd be fine with any of these guys. Hackenberg hasn't looked as good because he's playing with far less talent than he started with at Penn State, and his line can't protect him for anything at times. He's playing with the least talent of all these guys, and people forget that at times. He's got all the tools. Shows good footwork. Can move. I'd be ecstatic with him. Especially in the second round. I'm not really down on him at all. Cook is kind of the safe guy. Shows good in most areas. Has been around for a while. Plays in a pro system. I think he kind of falls under the radar because he's not as flashy, but I think he'll be a good quarterback. Goff is more the wildcard. Shows great potential. Good arm. Good playmaking ability. Can move. Sometimes overshoots the deep ball. Has made great decisions overall, but really struggled with decision making against a good Utah defense. Plays in some weird system that is kind of hard to know what he'll translate to. I'll be curious to what happens to his stock at the combine, based off meetings and knowledge in general. Really, I think we'll be in play for one of these guys. I feel like they'll all three be good NFL quarterbacks. I'm honestly happy with any of them. As I said before, if you can get Hackenberg in the second round (or trade up into the late first), and get a stud guy early in the first (offense or defense), I'd be thrilled. O'Brien knows the kid. Knows what he can do. If he's comfortable hitching his wagons to Hack, let him do it. I honestly think you're going to see him shoot back up the boards, and he'll be gone around pick 10, though, which puts him right in our wheelhouse. Should be exciting to see how the year progresses.

Interesting to see Carson Wentz so highly regarded for the NFL. I have no idea how accurate that is, but I do know NDSU curb stomps SHSU every time they play each other.
Had never heard of him. Went and watched some game tape. Impressive as hell. Seems like the prototypical "O'Brien quarterback" that may or may not be a myth. I feel like there are so many guys that could come out this year at QB. This has to be the year. At least at this point there are a lot of guys out there for us. Let's see what happens as the year progresses.
If the Texans use their first round pick to take BPA, instead of a QB, they deserve to lose every game they play for the rest of McNair's life.
If the Texans use their first round pick to take BPA, instead of a QB, they deserve to lose every game they play for the rest of McNair's life. Let me simplify. BPA = bad. BQBA = good.
