What about moving Bregman to CF?

Gomez is probably gone after the season, Moran is going to block him at 3B unless he's traded, Correa and Altuve are blocking up the middle...where else can he go?

The thing about our top guys is that they're all fairly polished and should be able to produce once they're up with the Astros which makes parting with them pretty tough.

Would love to see Moran up before the trade deadline to see what he can do.

I think if Bregman plays long term for the Astros it will be in a super utility role. He can probably play every position except catcher passably. But I still think the odds favor him being the centerpiece of a deal for an ace pitcher.

Scott Weathersby, who got a $5,000 bonus after getting drafted in the 10th round last June, has thrown 6 shutout innings so far for Lancaster.

If Astros trade Alex Bergman, they better get back an Ace back. Kid will be real good in the Majors. He has the it factor.

IIRC Dykxhoorn rhymes with shorn (past participle of shear).

    Dike-shorn

It appears to be a Dutch name that likely was misspelled upon coming to the US. I'd expect the first part (Dykx) used to be Dijk (which means dike in Dutch). Hoorn means horn in Dutch. So maybe the name means the mouth of some river where there's a dike - which is pretty typical of The Netherlands.

If he gets called up he will be "Dick-Horn".... there is no way Ashby or Brown pronounce his name right, and the players are totally going to go with "Dick-Horn".

If that was my last name, I would totally be going with Dick-Horn.

Daz Cameron early reports, looks smooth in the outfield. A nice defense player, power lacking right now. He needs to add strength. Maybe a flexible & weight program. Kyle Tucker is playing pretty good. He is definitely a part of the Astros future.

The question now, with the slow start, will the Marlins and Astros talk Fernandez again ?! It's no secret that Out now has been a big fan of Fernandez. Only question I have is, will Fernandez stay healthy enough. A package of Bergman, Musgrove, & Fisher may do it, given Fernandez past injury history!

Did your phone autocorrect Luhnow to "Out now"?

Just curious, while Fernandez certainly fits the bill of the type of player Luhnow covets (young, cheap and under club control), what verification do you have that he's a big fan?

Fernandez is going to cost *a lot*. I doubt he moves in any deal that doesn't include a Reed- and Martes-type prospect.

On the bright side, A.J. Reed whacked his first homer of the year tonight.
