So I know my OTC is coming up soon. I might take up the whole 2 hours or so.

Willing to trade for an athletic big or knocdown shooter. I have perimeter defenders if anyone is interested. Moncrief/AK47 if your team lacks a stopper

Basketball can be such a simple and pure game with the right players. Usually it takes a guy or gal that can play with his or her back to the basket. Someone like that is difficult to Mark because the person Mark-ing them can't see what they're doing with the ball. The result is a high percentage shot, over and over and there is nothing that stops a guy or gal from dominating the post if you can get them the ball. That's what made Hakeem so good. Hakeem put his Mark on the basketball world with his back to the basket. I wonder which player left a Mark on Hakeem?

I bet a lot of you don't know who he is because you didn't start watching ball early enough, but I like to think of him as Automatic Mark Aguirre. In the 1983-1984 season he averaged 29.5 ppg on 52.4% shooting. He grabbed almost 6 boards a game and averaged almost 5 assists. For a small forward, he sure played big. I mean, this guy carried the Mavs to the Conference Finals and they would have won if they weren't playing against the greatest scorer to ever live: Lou Alcindor. At least he got them to game 7, meaning he had enough to push the champs to the brink. F the Lakers.

Thought about him and like 7 other players, just didn't need more scoring, wanted more defense. He was like in my top 3 though, great pick!

    PG - Mike Bibby
    SG - Reggie Miller
    SF - James Worthy
    PF - Zach Randolph
    C - Yao Ming

    C - Robert Parish
    SF/PF - Shane Battier
    SG/PG - Steve Smith

I'd like to think that my line up can go big or small depending on the match-up. It's a defensive team designed to slow down the game and play the half court game.

You know what, you're right. I should think about my team. Being well rounded is way more important for winning that just flashy points. Sometimes you just need a guy that grabs boards from both the PF and C position and scores when you need him to.

    So I'm looking like this:

    PG Rondo
    SG Drazen
    SF Alex English
    PF Elvin Hayes
    C Mutumbo

    Bench: Strickland/Aguirre

Clearly I have no one to backup Hayes and Mutumbo. Do I just say F it and grab Charles Oakley because I can't think of someone else or do I dig deep and find the right guy? I plan to run motion offense with these guys then feed the post when I need consistency. But you need a lot of guys that can do a lot on the court. I'll find him. Somebody out there must average like 20 points 12 boards 4 assists 1 steal and a block and a half.

    ... Klay Thompson!

Wait, when was his rookie year?

Oh crap, what was I thinking. He's ineligible. I'll just take the other guy in all those pictures. What did he do for Portland as a 27 year old in 81-82'? He seems like a tall guy that can play.

Do we have a max of 8 guys? If we can add more, I'll find some difference makers.
