    Harden had 895 after 80 games, he only needed 5 tonight to get the 2K, 900, 600, which he did in the first or 2nd Q

    Sure the Rockets organization and as a team are. They don't get to spend Harden's money. But to also think that the organization don't care about Harden's records would take ignoring everything that Morey says and what's on the Rocket's website as well.

    I really wanted Harden to get this record to bolster his MVP case, although he probably still won't win.

    But all Westbrook has is that he averaged a triple double and broke the number of triple doubles in a season.

    Harden would have:
    Most total points produced in a season
    First player in history to average 2000, 600, 900
    3rd best record in the league vs 10 best record in the league
    Most double-doubles this year
    First player to get 2000 points and 2000 points on assists

    etc. etc. etc.

    But it won't matter.

    Right-click on the total AST, open to new tab. Open lots of games at a time. Go tab by tab, do CTRL+F and type 3PT and record the total #

    You are not following that blocks weren't recorded and yet.... nba.com stats list Olajuwon as all time leader. This is just as unfair to Russell and Wilt but no one gives a ****. So if nba.com stats are good enough for all time blocks then they are good enough to calculate points created period. you can't cherry pick or have it both ways.

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Yikes!! I just counted Harden off by 1 point from NBA site

    I just found a way to list all Harden 3pt assists with description from NBA.com....without actually going into the PBP.

    http://stats.nba.com/events/#!/?fla...ory=AST&section=leaders&sct=plot&CF=dsc*E*3PT

    At that link, if you delete my filter for descript = 3PT, it lists all 907 assists. So, if we are to trust this filter, then 368 is the number of 3ptrs. (see very bottom for total count)

    907 assist X 2 + 368 = 2,182 plus 2356 points scored by Harden = 4,538

    Archibald = 4,539

    yikes!

    Now, this isn't the way Elias Sports Bureau would count the 3ptrs. They would use the Game Book PDFs that nba.com publishes. Ideally, we would read from those. I guess I'm still game, now that we are off by one point. We need to go find that point in the PDFs. :eek::eek::eek::eek:

    @BleedRocketsRed @BigMaloe @DonKnock @WestendMassive

    Guys, my link that I posted does the very same thing you are counting, and it tallies 368 3s, which makes Harden 1 pt short of Tiny Archibald.

    I suggest we not use the same filtering. I suggest we click each Game Book PDF and count those. If we are going to find a mistake, it will be the conversion of the Scorer Tables typing to the database records. And the Scorer's Table will be the official record.

    This is 368 threes....it shows Harden missing by 1 pt

    Do you want to go through the Game Book PDF...the official scorer's table. All we have to do is find one more 3ptr, that somehow didn't get recorded correctly?

    Or should we just give up?

    If you go by the Player Tracking, he demolished the record lol. It really does seem like assists were not tracked correctly but really not worth it lol.

    Regardless, 4538 points in a 81 game season is ridiculous. That's 56 PPG.
