He should have asked to be traded or released like TJones' agent did. BJ truly doesn't know when to quit.

In a contract year, I'd much rather be a free agent right now than mr DNP-CD watching AD and Cousins try to resurrect a franchise with little to no chance of a changing role.

Meh. I can't think of very many teams where he'd get significant rotation minutes anyway. The free agency snafu with the Rockets and his agent already looks bad, asking to be released from the Pelicans a month into his signing would be another knock against him. Might as well be a team player, take his benching professionally, and try again this summer. Maybe he could try Atlanta if Millsap leaves? Memphis?

If he was stuck behind Jones and dante Cunningham in the rotation, there may not be an NBA team out there looking to pencil him in as a rotation player.

Teams more likely to give the guys under 25 a chance? Could be next stop europe?

Damn, injuries + INCREDIBLY shitty agent have derailed Motiejunas's career greatly. Feel for the guy, hope he can find a home in the NBA and grow into the potential that many have seen in him. He's only 26, and can still make a nice career for him self over the next 7 years or so if he turns things around.

I think he really put himself in this situation with all the negativity surrounding his contract. His attitude throughout the process was poor and he seemed resentful and bitter so I do not feel sorry for him being where he is now.

He brought all this on himself. He could be playing rotation minutes for us now.

Just saying. From everything I've read and heard, he was less than stellar throughout the process.

Yup, back issues or not, as a superior talent in this league he had one decent season and nothing spectacular to show for those 4, 5 years

That should be the real issue.

His ego was too big for a guy who had one decent season

Well if we assume that he is fully healthy and he was retained in the team how is he gonna get minutes?

Anderson gets beat up around here but he's averaging a respectable 15 pts and 9 rebs on good shooting. DMO is 4 pts and 3 rebs in 16 mins on sub 50% FG, absolutely horrendous and worse than Brewer level play. Of course supporters keep saying he would play better on the Rockets than on the Pelicans but at the same time Anderson, Davis etc. have been playing on the Pelicans for a long time and they don't get this sort of slack. Even TJones outplayed DMo playing in the same team and with the same teammates and he was just waived, but somehow DMo is gonna come here and take minutes from Harrell and Nene?

My guess is if DMo was retained at his 9M price he would've been enemy no 1 here, and instead of being his most ardent defender DD would totally call him suckage and blame Morey for not doing a good job or whatever. It's not logical to expect a guy this bad to become all star just because of switching teams. You can only blame others and your environment so much, at some point you have to be held responsible for your own poor performance, esp when TJones who according to Holic shouldn't be in the NBA just took your lunch and spanked your ass.

    DNP-CD

But I'm sure the usual nut huggers bobbythefailaholic will have some excuse.

DMO has gone from starter to role player to marginal role player to DNP-CD

......and they lost to the Mavs. Bad coaching decisions like that will often cost a team a chance to win.

The guy left the best place for him over pride. He should have shut up, taken the money, and fired his agent.

D-Mo just airballed a 2nd FTA against OKC after swishing the 1st one.

    Don't see that often.

What happened to Cousins. Only played a 1 1/2 minutes. Did he tweak something.

[Edit] nm...saw it in the game thread.

    You and your alternative facts.

Since when is 13.9ppg, and 5rpg add up to 15-9?

    No need to exaggerate Donald.
