TJones is absolutely terrible, you might as well have Brewer play, they are about the same quality.

If that was true, they'd just cut him because he's a minimum contract. Just like the Rockets found no takers for Jones, the Pels won't either and will likely just cut him after the deadline.

@Bobbythegreat spitting some truth. No one on the Rockets right now would be able to stop Dmo.

I don't know why I talk to you sometimes. You go off on these unreasonable displays of loathing or love for players, which is why many ppl think your a 'holic bi-uid.

They aren't trying to dump TJones, and no matter how you apply your flawed +/- stats, he's not comparable to Brewer. And the point was Dekker takes Brewer's minutes, and Harrell gets more PF...but we would have TJones at minimum salary adding to PF minutes when the matches are good.

If Pels cut TJones for logjam reasons and no-salary implication reasons, then he will be picked up fast. And you will be back to trying to bash another coach and GM for stupidity, that is really just you loathing a player, and being a dick around here about it....I might add.

When are you going to start accusing me of having no basketball knowledge or analysis abilities this year.

when @Bobbythegreat starts in on his side of an argument he won't quit until his opponent is exhausted and unsubscribes from the thread.

It is what it is man, I knew there was still some TJones truthers out there, but the guy is and has always been a terrible basketball player overall even if he occasionally has a random good game mixed in.

    Why would they cut Jones?

He's a career double digit scorer - and that's over 5 seasons in the NBA.
    That's not bad for a 3rd or 4th big?
    This season alone TJo is 17.2ppg and 7.3rpg 54%FG 43% 3G in 12 games as a starter (in 118 career starts he is 13.2ppg 7.2rpg 53%FG 34% 3)

Isn't this the wet dream that some guys around here have about DMo? That he'd have a double digit career scoring average? That he'd average 17 as a starter in any given season?

Imagine this thread if those numbers for this season belonged to DMo? Wouldn't there be a big round of 'yule C' being passed out???

[don't get me wrong, TJones is always a few minutes away from a boneheaded play, and seems to completely disappear under pressure, but he certainly seems to be a decent enough rotation player at NBA level. Why the hate?)

Bobby's posts far outweigh those of Jones' defenders.

If he was truly terrible as you say, you would not even care to post about him. Why do you waste your breath to post about him?

He aint a Rocket, he is on a subpar NO team (pre Cousins and still might be terrible).

His stats are decent enough that he sticks in the NBA. All that matters to him.

It's just a response to the few Jones truthers left. Anyway, so long as he's not being a 2nd Brewer on the Rockets, you're right, he's irrelevant.

DMo may very well be a long time player for the Pels now with Boogie in town. He will be needed to backup both Boogie and AD and probably get consistent minutes now after they move TJones. DMo won't probably ever be a full time starter in this league at 30 plus minutes a game, unless the team he is on has severe injuries.

DMo's people talk to the Pels about the trade and are told that his role won't change.....Jones' people talk to the Pels about the trade and end up demanding a trade. I'm guessing they didn't get the same good news.
