Terrence Jones sure looks good tonight. ;)

    No outrage?

Almost like he know Brooklyn has a team full of bums.

Damn, I just saw the boxscore, looks like one of those random good games by Jones and just a brutally terrible game for DMo.

D-Mo and the Rockets had to have had a deal in place or D-Mo never would have agreed to the physical in the first place.

It's tough to say for sure, but from what I've been told, the Rockets think D-Mo's back is screwed long term.

wasn't the 37mil the deal? or does that mean papers should have been signed before demo goes for a physical (which doesn't make sense)?

Then why is he not here for this year? I mean his deal was only guaranteed for this season - why not sign, play here, and then be dropped if that is the case?

Sure that seem likely, judging by how little DMO eventually signed for, the lack of complaints by the Rockets, DMO or the Player association concerning any possible punishment/intervention by the league...

However its EQUALLY possible (if not even more so) that the NBA, Donald Trump or Barack Obama intervened to punished the Rockets and DMO for agreeing to that new contract! So why was there no complaints by Morey and the Rockets for losing DMO due to league intervention? Or DMO, his great agent and the player association for the intervention costing them MILLIONS of dollars???

The answer is SIMPLE & OBVIOUS! Trump/Obama/NBA forced the rockets into signing a NDA (non disclosure agreement) as part of their punishment, furthermore they also paid/forced DMO, his incredibly gifted agent AND the players association into signing a NDA.

NDA is extremely common in the business world, anyone who's in business knows this. My sources said the NDA, DMO signed came with 5 million dollars to make up for the money he lost and also paid his agent and the player association for their silence. They also paid the NETS for their silence along with a small sum to the most prominently connected DMO fans out there like basketballholic for their silence. However the term of the NDA is only for 5 years or so, so eventually we will know real truth. YULE C. .

Probably because Morey didn't want to screw with the team chemistry if he felt the risks truly outweighed the reward.

That would be stupid, we are a short team that has a massive hole in bigs...and ultiamately not a contender because of that.

yup totally implausible that the Rockets didn't like what they saw in DMO's physical OR the fact that he didn't perform all that well last year when he was "healthy" OR that Les "big spender Cuban" Alexander and Morey didn't want to fork over 6 million dollars to "make a team a contender" DMO .

Why is it stupid? Because you say it is? Capela is hurt but will be back soon, plus we have Harrell and Nene to plug in there. So, if doctors suggest that Dmo is only going to be good for X number of minutes per game and should be limited to that then you have to ask yourself, is it worth it? Why do something that could disrupt the chemistry of a team that was the hottest in the NBA at the time? Why not just keep giving those minutes to our young guys so they can develop more?

Sure, it's easy to say that we could use Dmo right now because Capela ended up going down, but once he comes back soon what do you do with Dmo? Who gets shut out of the rotation? What happens if you start relying on that production and Dmo goes down for the year and then you have to suddely plug in guys who have been limited in play time? Wouldn't you rather make that decision early in the season vs when the playoffs start? Especially if the doctors say that there is little chance Dmo makes it through the entire year without injury...

"The Rockets are not a contender because Dmo is not here!"

    - this is more delusional than those LOF.

whatever "massive hole in bigs" you think we have, I can guarantee you one thing: DMO wouldn't fill it. As @Tha_Dude said, his risks clearly outweighed his rewards, and his time in NOLA will prove it.

But the deal would probably have had opts out every year ... which would have been insurance protection against DMo's back + being an expiry every year. Something strange happened, and we probably won't know until Morey writes his autobiography.

No, we need a third C who can rebound and defend and will be happy with very limited minutes and spend most nights glued to the bench.

We expressly do not need a b-rate stretch 4 with a bad back who thinks he's a superstar.

DMo is getting what he deserves, and his Rockets' minutes are going to better players - so regardless of your **** talk about....REAL contenders...everyone is better off with him tearing it up for the Pelicans...he is, right?

It could also be that Morey didn't see D-Mo being here long-term and wanted to go in a different direction. Would he have helped this season? Maybe. But next year and beyond? Odds are he would've been in a different uniform or out of the league if the Rockets are right about his back.
