It could all end well for him if he continues to shine there, someone will pay him in the offseason - assuming his back is a non-issue.

DD, you act as if you made a simple comment or two about VSpan and the entire board here ran away with it.

The reality is that you beat the subject to death with hundreds of posts in dozens of threads over a (V)span of months, about how JVG was too set in his ways, too stupid, too stubborn, hated Euro players, etc. to give your boy the real chance he needed to succeed. And even when VSpan got sufficient chance to prove himself and failed to do so, you complained it was JVG's fault for being so narrow-minded.

If you're going to beat a take to death for months on end -- which is your habit and your right as a CF 99er -- then don't try to pass it off as unfair criticism when someone rubs your face in it a bit in good fun.

I don't mind criticism if it is correct, and yes, Rafer sucked so badly that I wanted VSpan to get a shot to find out if he could be the answer in the future, or not...as that team was going nowhere.

    Yes, repetitive is my name.

Rafer had his strengths though..... he was a decent on ball defender, could knock down the 3 (36%), was quick and could steal the ball.

In hindsight his Offense was not enough, nor was his Defense but apart from his tear drop he was average to me. He could not finish.

He did not suck that bad. Not championship caliber for sure.

Lowry, Dragic and Harden made him look very bad.

Of course you'd say that the only thing we should be asking is who's our 12th man or our 15th with no regard for the 11 players ahead of them or the fact that they're having a historic season precisely because of what a great GM we have. He assembled this team. If he's going to get the blame when it fails, he should get some credit when it succeeds.

You'll take any opportunity to bash Morey and really I think you'd do it with any GM because there's no game you love better than playing at GM. You have over 100K posts to prove it. And the vast majority of them are about front office type decisions.

And your focus is always on the players that don't really make a difference, almost all white players btw whatever that's about but it's so many of them it actually is a weird thing about you.

For the first time in team history The Houston Rockets are actually getting well-deserved respect from even the media that's been so resistant to showing our team any respect at all.

It's no surprise at all to me that you'd be the last one still saying DM doesn't know what he's doing or is only okay when the rest of the league is in awe of what he's put together.

I just have to quote you again because it's so freaking delicious that you'd say a thing like this:

"The only thing we should be asking is whether DMo would help more than Bobby Brown."

I mean, what do you think the next thing we should be asking is? I'll bet it's got Kyle Wiltjer in it. How the **** could any fan care about D-Mo or Bobby Brown right now? I mean, truly, only you possibly could. You're "special" that way.

Well tonight he was 1-2 for 3pts with a 1-1 on 3pters. He had 4 rebounds 3 assists and 2 steals - very much trying to be the team guy it seems, the Pels are not really looking for him all that much but he is playing more of a facilitator role as he adjusts.

At some point I think he might become the starter next to Davis - as Cunningham is not that good and DMo can free up Davis by checking the other teams center.

    He looks ok....in limited minutes.

Hope you saw the moment that the Kyle O'Quinn grab the offense rebound over DMo's head and dunk all over him around 10:20 left in the 2nd quarter. This is Kyle O'Quinn we are talking about ;)

He is a very passive player. He shows flashes here and there. but at this point you should know who he is. He had plenty of opportunity here to assert himself with all the injuries, and he never did. It's undeniable.

Actually he needs plays run for him, when he had his good year, he got the ball a lot and capitalized, last year, when he finally got healthy his minutes were inconsistent and his touches were too - Dwight wanted to be in the post, and it was obvious he was not going to leave there, so DMo did not get his usual touches.

He is not a guy you make your main guy, but he is a guy you can use to get a bucket now and again....as his efficiency is pretty good on the block and at the 3pt line.

A good role player, still getting acclimated but looking healthy- and a really surprising rebounding rate.

DMo's only opportunity to assert himself came in 2015, and he capitalized on it. With the Rockets going away from the post game and JBB's horrible rotations, DMo's 2016's campaign was doomed before it even began. If anything, DMo struggles when he has an inconsistent, undefined role.

He showed some promise in 15' yes. I don't have the game logs in front of me, but he never took the step that a lot of us thought he could take.

What step was that? I thought 13-7 in under 30mpg was pretty good - and about where he would be, a nice secondary guy you could go to when you needed a basket, who played solid D, and made the team better.......that is pretty good....IMHO....never thought he was a 20-10 guy.....

As a starter that year he was like 16-7, that might be his ceiling. Which is still pretty good.
