2016-17 Red Rowdies Auditions: Oct 19th

Red Rowdies auditions are around the corner. Come be a part of this amazing organization in its 12th year and the Rockets 50th year!

When & Where: Budweiser Brewery Taproom (775 Gellhorn Houston, TX 77029) Wed Oct 19th, Time TBD (evening, 7pm or so)
What the audition is: Our typical audition format is 30 seconds to show the judges why you should be a Red Rowdy- chant, creativity, outfit, energy etc. I have auditioned 8 times - so if you have any questions about the audition experience or Red Rowdies experience - I’ll be happy to answer them. Youtube is a great resource to find videos of old auditions.

It’s a blast, game tickets are free, I meet a lot of people, it’s fun to be part of a group, and it’s a great way to just let loose and get silly 44 nights a year plus playoffs. There’s a reason I can’t quit and keep coming back. This will be my 9th season already! Red Rowdies are some of my best friends. We road trip to away games together, watch away games at bars, have Red Rowdies tailgates, sometimes volunteer, and attend Rockets events together. We even get together for some pickup basketball games.

We’ve got people of all ages, races, about 50/50 gender split, from all corners of Houston, etc. There’s no way you won’t fit in unless you dislike the Rockets! Everyone’s strengths are different: sometimes voices, creativity, playing drums, passion, energy, etc. There is something you can bring to the table! Some people tryout with a friend- which is great, but don’t be shy if it’s just you. I auditioned by myself, a lot of people do.
