I disagree with you about parsons over Ariza. He is the epitome of a consistent professional player. Parsons even when healthy was wildly inconsistent. But really man what's done is done. hindsight is always 20/20. I am thrilled to have our current roster, and am very happy for troy daniels.
Imagine if Chandler had 1 good game in 40 and was always injured as a Rocket.. I mean imagine that... fans would think the training staff was the reason and Morey was an idiot.
Parsons would of been a better fit with the D12 team, but not this year's team. The Rockets need Trevor's defense more than anything Parsons can do besides hit threes.
Parsons has never been better than Ariza, at best they were equal which is why Ariza is still better considering his salary was half of Parsons so you can afford another player. Oh wait you don't take salaries into account because you're not paying his salary! So no salaries, and no health either...are you evaluating on 2K or what? lol How can you say you were right when you were so obviously wrong? Going by this made up logic Rox should be given 5 rings at least because if only Ralph Sampson wasn't injured and the rest of the team weren't crackheads Rockets would've dominated every championship game in the 80's. Parsons has a good variety of skill offensively but he sucked defensively and he was all about him, we lost that series because he wanted the limelight of guarding Lillard and last minute told Beverly to switch. Ariza is a no-nonsense guy who does all the dirty work of rebounding and guarding the other team's best player night after night, he can also drive inside and has been hitting open 3's every night.
Parsons is a better player than Ariza for sure but... 1) how can anyone look at his injuries since leaving the rockets, including microfracture, and say the rockets should have maxed him out? 2) he chose to leave. Morey did him a favor and let him out to fa early and parsons repaid him by partying with Cuban and signing a poison pill contract because he wanted to play with Cuban off of the court.
Lmao how the **** can you possibly think holding onto parsons was a good idea after the past few years?! Like I could see it right after we didn't match but we went on to make the wcf and beat down chandlers shitty team. Now the dude has been hurt and fat ever since. Delusional ****. LET IT GO YOU CRYBABY
Dude was 2-4 on threes and scored ten points. Ariza does that in his sleep while guarding the Lebron Durants of the league. He ***** 2 three pointers before he brushes his teeth in the morning. Unfortunatly for DD he is not white as Casper doe
Maybe everyone THOUGHT Parsons was better than Ariza, but the reality is in front of us Ariza as a whole is way better than Parsons. I don't know what kind of crack DD is on nowadays but saying he's right "if only Parsons was healthy" is like saying Oden is better than Kevin Durant because if you don't consider his injuries and early retirement he would have been a better player. It's practically a disservice to Ariza because Ariza has been logging superstar minutes all these years and I don't even know if got injured once. OTH, his boy Mr. Charmin' Parsons scammed a max contract off the Mavs and still missed part of the season as a Memphis Grizzlies. I think everyone agrees before talent health is the number 1 consideration, it doesn't matter if you have the skills of Michael Jordan combined with Hakeem and Shaq, if you can't step on the court you are worse than the 15th player on the Mavs' dleague team. Parsons spent like his entire contract injured, so for DD to say Parsons is still better during that time frame when Parsons was just sitting on the bench is like wow. And its not like Ariza is chopped liver, he has been defending the other team's best player all this time, OTH my memory of Parsons is him getting owned by Batum after Parsons said he was the best SF in the series. They're like complete opposites, Ariza is all business and does what's needed to win whereas Parsons is all talk but no game, he stuffs the stat sheet but when we talk about all the intangibles he has none, he's a diva, he raises drama, he doesn't play defense, he thinks he's a superstar and he's always injured. If the definition of being a better player is someone who helps your team win more games, no question it's been Ariza these past 3 years.
LMAO at these comments saying we should have kept Chandler Parsons, and that he is a good player. Silly people.
lol what would be the point of having parsons with the max? pretty sure we can't have this team with a maxed out injury ridden Parsons.
DD is truly still arguing that Parsons on a max would be preferable to Ariza. He truly is still doing this. What a time to be alive.
I will spell it out for the slower people, it was a three year contract that ended up being two years, yes I would have matched Parsons was better during that contract, the rest is stupid revisionist history. DD
