DaDakota was really upset when we didn't pay to keep him (up until like last season) and he was right again.
LMAO according to DD we should've never have signed Ariza and kept Parsons because he was the "better player".
I thought he wanted both. He like many of us want Les to empty his pockets in order for us to win a Ring. Even if Les has to sell his home.
Nope he never gave any credit to Ariza. Btw its totally dumb to have both as you will be paying 22M for just 1 position. Dwight and Harden make around that amount as well so you will have to sign rookies or vet mins for the 12 remaining positions, not exactly the recipe for winning a ring. Its not the case of being cheap or not, there's thing called the salary cap every one who wants to comment on roster moves need to be somewhat fsmiliar with first.
As is so often the case in today’s age, the cynics – as evidenced by the recent fan feedback gathered by Grizzlies beat writer Ron Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal on Twitter – are ruthless. “Chandler Parsons is the equivalent to a burglar, breaks in and takes your money and destroys your house,” one fan wrote. “World class athletes should play more than 15 minutes a game if healthy enough to play …” wrote another. “What a waste of money,” wrote another.
I've said it before, but if the Grizzlies are healthy (granted, a big IF), they could be the darkhorse of this year's postseason. They may not have that one game-changing star player, but they have size, play an effective inside-out game, can smother on defense, and have excellent passing. They're reminiscent of Dallas in their championship season, without Nowitzki of course, but perhaps a better team overall. I wouldn't consider Parsons an X-factor, but he fits very well into what they do because he's able to contribute in a lot of ways. He also gives them flexibility in that he can match up against both wings and smaller frontcourt players. Basically, he's their version of Trevor Ariza, but with a slightly larger role on offense.
daam 2pts on 6 shots. thats one helluva max contract player. i bet those 2 points are the reason they're down by 20 and not 50. what else did he get? two rebounds and a whole assist! wow, good stuff. and all of this in just 15 minutes, even better. thats 4pts and 2asts in 30min for those who are too lazy to do th emath. he most certainly has something going for him
i've said it before, b ut if hakeem had a time machine (granted, a big IF) and came back to the rockets, every team in the league and they baby mama wouldnt show up to the games.
The early season success of the Grizs is just a fluke. Their style of basketball is outdated and overrated in the league now. They are extremely lucky in close games in the first couple months and once things starting to balance out, they will fall to the bottom of the top 8 and probably be completely out of it. This kind of slow pace and grinding basketball won't have success and won't go far in this modern era of basketball.
so the grizz are in OT with the warriors. No CP hasn't seen the floor in forever, but I just wanted to say im REALLY happy for troy daniels! dude is a major contributor!!!
4 threes tonight another one of my favorites that I never understood why we let him go.... Forever Morey wanted a 3pt shooting team but let all of the 3pt shooters go...finally he holds onto them and wallah we are kicking ass.... And I was right about Parsons, he is better than Ariza when healthy, he was very good for Dallas too when healthy, you can't look back and go...well this was right because...injuries.....that is lame....you make the decision based upon anticipated health.
