the pausha hiring and firing... parsons convincing the mavs to move on from ellis.. the front office "jealous" of parsons it's gold! it's all GOLD!
Good read. Certainly can work to be friends with your employee(s), but it can backfire too. Tom Herman has a balance to maintain as well. I tend to side with being friends is a positive. Feel like you get more out of the employee. But also found it awkward when I had to ask an employee to do something they didn't want to do, and we disagreed on policy or implementation, or whatever, because they think of you as equal in power and equals in decision making, but you're not. For me salary negotiations were never an issue as I believe you pay generally whatever they want within reason, keep them happy, it's just easier, so long as you do that across the board for all employees so as not to create inequity. You could see here that perceived inequities in power and the salary negotiation were both at play throughout the organization.
I love how the article just totally neglects the fact how Parsons came to dallas. Kid has a track record of thinking too highly of himself.
and Cuban made a great move too rejecting his overpaid ass. Memphis is screwed for 4 years with Parsons. This guy has already had two overpaid, unjustified contracts. When will teams learn?
"Raising his glass, Cuban told the group at the table that he wasn't sure when or in what role, but his boy Chandler Parsons would be back in Dallas." Isn't this tampering?!
3rd time's the charm. did you notice at the end of the article, cuban says that parsons will be back... oh boy i sure hope so lolol **** dallas
You really have to give it to Parsons: He made a guy, who treats people like chess pieces in Morey, stop treating him like an asset, and he bolted. He got a guy, who loves himself more than anyone in Cuban, love the idea of Parsons, resulting in unfiltered access to everything Dallas Mavs, and he bolted. Now Parsons is in Memphis, with max money, riding the bench, because he got Justin Timberlake to like him (I assume) I mean that is next level manipulations! People here get mad at Harden because he got Bobby Brown a job, a shuttle bus, and a bodyguard.
Just reading this article makes you think about what he was asking for here in Houston when he realized he could play at this level effectively. Remember when Morey told the press Parsons asked for a raise multiple times and everyone laughed it off? That very well could have been the genesis of Parsons' assery! Proactive Acne solution made Parsons into a ****ing monster. I'm re-thinking everything now...
I called it at the time. This egotistical D Bag will be hated by the fanbase of every team he plays for eventually. He has zero humility or respect for those who have helped reach to the level of a max contract. Glad he left the Rockets and Rockets did not fall for his petulant crap
