Great to see two Houston Dash players, Carli Lloyd and Morgan Brian, in the starting lineup for the USA. Also watching Carli scored the game-winning goal is good exposure for the Houston Dash soccer club. I think there could be an attendance boost for the Dash franchise after the Women's World Cup.

Meghan Klingenberg plays for the Dash too. She is part of that USA defense that is so hard to score against.

That finishing was atrocious outside of Lloyd's header. Hopefully it'll be better in the semifinal/final when we will need to make the most of these chances!

Outside of not finishing well, the offense looked about 100x better with Rodriguez in there instead of Wambach

Nobody talks about their men counterparts too and they are fairly successful.

People just do not talk about the obvious things :p

And Rapinoe out there were touches and passes for the entire team.

Morgan Brian and Meghan Klingenberg...and Jeff Van Gundy

How cool is this? Now, it's sad that national team stars playing professional soccer in our city are forced to live with hosts...but at least they got a pretty damn good one.

Just stop. Rapinoe was a big reason we beat Colombia. I think the game might've been more than 1-0 had Rapinoe played. China was ripe to be attacked and there were many instances where they played the safe ball instead of taking what was given to them...something Rapinoe does well.

Rodriguez definitely brings more to the table than Wambach at this point and she should start against Germany. But that miss in the first half was Wondo-esque. Just a beautiful pass by Lloyd wasted with that horrid touch. She out-thought herself and made that a lot harder than it was. Keeper was in no-man's-land and she could have either dribbled past or just hit it low and it would have been a goal. Those opportunities cannot be missed against Germany.

I think Kealia Ohai, a forward/striker for the Dash, also lives with her sister who is married to Brian Cushing.

They really had no chance. You have to BEAT Japan. They don't beat themselves. They are so technically sound.

Whoever wins this game is going to eaten alive by Japan. These girls are just not very good technically.

They're having a better performance than the men's national team in their World Cup from last year.

The draw was rigged to help Canada get to the finals. However, all it did was help Japan and screw France. Fifa are a bunch of crooks.
