I just hope they don't take Bud Dupree. He has bust written all over him with his lack of production. Measureables aside, you've got to produce, and he did not. Can't fathom why he's jumped up into the top 10 of some mocks when he should be a day 2 pick at the most.
Erving it is. I'd be surprised if it was anyone but him. Maybe pleasantly surprised. Been thinking it'd be him since like yesterday morning.
Would you be bummed because it's not a sexy skill position or defensive pick? No one likes to draft OL it appears. However, games are won and lost by the OL. I say this without any knowledge of the guy, it just seems almost everyone hates OL pick's in the 1st.
Well it would be for a few reasons, I see him as more of a late first round to mid 2nd round type of prospect at a position where there isn't really a need. Offensive Tackle is pretty far down the list of needs IMO and it would be a reach.
For those not wanting a OL. Please remember the COWBOYS(disgusting), they were dominant on the ground. Had Romo not been so banged up, that team had a chance to really do something.
Texans under obrien suck at drafting. You don't draft an olineman in the first round unless he's a LT.
There is more than one potentially starting center in this draft. Horace Grassau Ali Marpet Max Garcia ...are all guys that come to mind that should be available in the 2nd or 3rd and have talent. Just saying it's not Cam Erving or bust if you want to draft a center who could turn into a starter.
I'm from the future... Erving will be an outstanding OL for the Texans and he will help Arian Foster to 2 rushing titles and the Texans will win 2 superbowls over his 12 year career. Including the 2017 superbowl in Houston. Oh, and the QB for the 2017 SB isn't on the roster yet. This is a big night Texans fans. Enjoy. Oh, and Pacquiao by split. John Snow dies.
Were either of the Pouncey's a reach (Maurkice @ #18, Mike @ #16)? Because that's who Erving is being compared to. Those two already have 6 Pro Bowls between them and Maurkice is a 4X All Pro.
