    Yep, I guess so.

Did we have a 4 hour skip in the last draft or 3 hour? We didn't change anything about it, so that's still the same, but i don't remember which it was.

Here is an idea. I think with future drafts we can look at setting fixed time slots (say 4 hours) between picks. Something like this:

1-1. BigMaloe - Pick by Noon
    1-2. Yung-T - Pick by 4 PM
    1-3. Jmcballer - Pick by 8 PM
1-4. DFB - Pick by Midnight
    1-5. Jamers - Pick by 4 AM
    1-6. LCAhmed - Pick by 8 AM
1-7. da_juice- Pick by Noon (next day)

etc. etc. and lay it out for entire draft. Obviously later rounds we could reduce to 3 hrs between picks or 2 hours.

That way posters know exactly when their OTC and come online at the time or send pick to others. The way it is now with the 3 hr skip, a guy who probably has no access to CF at work could possibly be skipped even if he is scheduled 3-4 places down because others are online and draft moves fast.

I don't know just throwing it out there...

Yep, but lets say we have 8 rounds and 12 people, 4 hard hours each, that's minimum 16 days of drafting. Plus first round waits, plus trading, voting, we'll spend a month on a draft. People will just get bored and quit, I think.

Also, sometimes people make like 10-15 picks in a few hours. Imagine if that happens, or especially a few such runs happen while people are all excited and want to pick quickly in the first few rounds. Then we'll get ahead of schedule by some 4-5 days, and in later rounds when most people get bored and check in less often, we'll have huge multi day waits.

That was just an example. We could do something like 4 hrs first 2 rounds, 3 hours next 2 rounds, 2 hours next 2 rounds and an hour for the final 2 rounds which makes it 10 days total - maybe still long.

Either way just trying to avoid skips for posters with limited CF access.

It's up to everyone, we can rethink all these things of course. Personally I don't mind so much when I get skipped, so I'd rather have a draft without big waits, other than the first round or maybe two.

In most cases I just give my list to someone if I know I won't have access. But if I get skipped, I don't care too much.

    UPDATED RULES:

    - The pool of draftable players is anyone that has played in at least one NBA game from the 1979-1980 season to now.
    - Pick 8 players.
    - There is a limit of 25 cumulative all star appearances each team may have.
    - Must have at least one player from every decade. Name a decade for 3 players (one for 1980s, one for 1990s, one for 2000s), everyone else is judged simply by prime, no matter when that prime happened.
    - In addition, you may have only one player who made his first all star game in 2010 or later.[/QUOTE]
