The Yankees could see him not only for this year, also for the future.

Right now the rotation is TAnaka, Pineda, Eovaldi, Warren and Sabathia.

Hamels would make a big difference on that team, Moving him to number 1, with Tanaka 2 and Pineda 3. Sabathia's contract goes in 2016, so it makes a lot of sense for them to go after him. Now, do they have the talent to give back? If it cost Judge, would they do it???

    No dog in this fight.

But I don't find this to be the case at all.

Finally pulled the ignore trigger, so let's get this back on track--

Luhnow said the other day they'd be looking for a bat to replace Springer. I would guess getting an additional bat would rank above RP and an additional SP for them.

Problem is there seems to be a lot more Ps on the market than there are hitters. I was a little surprised he said he wanted a bat to replace Springer when we have had the huge hole at 1B -- perhaps he didn't mean OF specifically, just an impact bat.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but suggest he following to you. You want to talk Astros baseball. If this were a live, in person conversation, and people were thoroughly annoyed by your way of speaking and ignoring you, I suspect you might care and adjust how you communicate.

Generally speaking, most people don't want to be the person that everyone seems to dislike or disrespects. It's then a question of what you are willing to do about it and whether you would adjust how you communicate, try to shout everyone down and convince hem they're wrong and you are right, or stand in the corner with your arms crossed.

The big difference is this is the internet, so people behave and communicate in ways they would not in person. But I would suggest to you that such an approach is the wrong one.

And he would not say a position out of respect for his players.
Now, if is Springer, he means a right handed hitter? or a good hitter? I don't believe it should be an OF because we have 4 very good outfielders (not hitters because Marisnick is not one), once Springer is healthy (Tucker, Rasmus, Marisnick and Springer). Now, at 1b we have a major hole, the player that makes a lot of sense is Lind, but what do they want in return??? If is something that is fair, then that is the move for the Astros. If not, then we have to look at Lowrie trying to fill that hole, and Valbuena at 3b. Important to notice, Moran is hitting a lot lately at double a, so he is only 1 more year away from the bigs.

I hope the Astros get him, but I doubt the Astros will be the top offer unless the Phillies pay a lot of his salary.

Phillies will probably ask for our whole farm system after Hamels start today.

He has a no hitter through 6 IP.

Singleton could be a good fit for the Brewers, i dont think we need Parra in our team, i perfer to keep the prospects. A Singleton for Lind, with other players, i like that.

Would this be the most epic final start ever if he's dealt this weekend

I think the possibility of getting Hamels is almost 0. But I think if it drags out closer to the deadline the Astros may be able to offer the Phillies a competitive packagecompared to what som e of the other suitors could offer. Like I said above, it is highly unlikely, but still in the realm of possible.
