There are way more righties than lefties, meaning, he will give you at least 500 at bats.

    Kind of Like Straily huh?

THe first time Lind struck out you would call him trash and tell us the next guy in line who "should" be playing

Actually, Straily had ONE bad inning, beside that, he was good.
Last game few got on base, and in the first one, he struck out a lot of guys and had one bad inning, plus the homer by Hanley. So, Straily did good, now, if you ONLY saw numbers and did NOT see the games, i understand your comment and ignorance

Post all you want, reply to anything you want

Don't ever call me ignorant again

One thing you said in your rant before you left, was that you never attacked anyone personally, that you only posted about baseball.

So, do as you said and Don't call me ignorant again

you are not ignorant, but your comment was ignorant because you probably did not see the games, i did, and Straily did good.

If you say he did not had a good game last game, that is a smart comment????

Apparently the Reds have been trying to unload Bruce for awhile... so it makes sense that they'll ask anybody going after Cueto if they'd give up a little more so they could include Bruce as well.

Of course, nothing will be said until the ASG is done... right now, this is Cincy's time to shine.

    Lets look at the Reds:

    Bruce and Cueto for
Santana, Feliz, Straily, Chris Carter and Hader

Bruce is owed more than $12 million next year, with a $1 million buyout for 2017.

Is Bruce a "take him off our payroll and we'll let you reduce your offer" addition to the trade, or someone we'd have to give up another prospect for?

Given what the experts seem to think the Astros would have to give up for Cueto, I hope Luhnow passes. This lineup isn't strong enough to make a run even with another starter, but we can continue building. Giving up your best prospects for a two month rental seems absurd to me.

Who said anything about giving up the "best" prospects?

We also know most prospects don't make it big.

And we also know there's a surplus right now and several players are clogged/stalled due to this.

Moves are going to be made sooner or later. Especially before the luster wears off some of the "prospects".

Surplus means clogged/stalled..and it also means letting them go due to the 40 man crunch (DDJ). Make something out of them now, for sure

YoU don't get ace pitching for less than the best you've got. Surplus or not, don't see Cueto as a good deal for us.

The Tigers managed to get Price last year for less.

Lester cost the A's Cespedes, who while a good player, wasn't a great player.

He's a free agent to be.

Even when the Astros got Randy Johnson, they didn't give up their "best" prospects at the time.

And that was back when you got draft compensation for mid year acquisitions who were Type A FAs. We got a supplemental pick, and an early 2nd rounder for losing Johnson (Dbacks 1st rounder was protected).

The days of asking for the moon for a 3 month rental are over. When trading for a player, the amount of team controlled years is now the biggest factor in measuring value. It's why the Astros were able to get a kings ransom for Cosart.

Cueto will net some good prospects, but the haul won't be massive. Luhnow has his price, and I have no doubt he won't go a penny over. If the Reds are asking for too much, he will simply look elsewhere.
