Yes, because it keeps creeping forward. There's already too big a lag between the regular season and bowl season. Now they are just dragging it out further. Here's the BCS history:

    http://www.ticketcity.com/bowl-game...ege-football-championship-game-champions.html

From 1998 to 2005, it was January 1-4th. 2006 through last year, it was Jan 7-9th. Now it's Jan 12th. There's just no reason for it. It's like putting 3 or 4 weeks between the AFC/NFC title games and the Superbowl.

Solid first half. Entertaining. Amazing catches by the Ohio State Wr's. Think the score is reflective of game thus far. Oregon not out of it. But tantalizingly close to their feeling frustrated. and if that happens, think it blows up on them as OSU is rolling now.

It's possible this game will move Mariotta to the second pick as well if this holds up. If he makes the comeback it secure his #1 to Tampa.

I dunno, there are some arguments you can make for the pros of it being pushed back. More time to prepare for such an important game, more time for these college athletes to visit family (since it's not a job like the NFL).

Doesn't bother me that it's been later rather than sooner - I guess I'm in the minority though.

Fitz is a putrid QB but you are kidding yourself saying Cardale Jones is better. Fitz would look like Aaron Rodgers in college.

Lucky Ducks but it probably won't matter. Ohio State is just too good.

I still think that them going for it on 4th and 2 instead of taking that chippy FG was STUPID.

It was on his fingertips, and I don't think there was enough to truly say he dropped it. Stupid play, though. Never understand why players drop the ball.

Especially stupid for an Oregon player, given that Utah did it against them earlier this year. Utah would have gone up 14-0, but Oregon picked up the ball and ran it all the way back for a TD to change momentum in that game.

I watched the whole thing. THAT game, not the Arizona loss, was Oregon's was stinker of the season (until that play). I'm sure they would have lost to Utah had the TD counted and no CFP for them.
