If Appel is able to make the team next year, maybe pitching out of the bullpen at the end of this year, it would make it difficult to keep Feldman, where is he going to pitch???

    1. K
    2. McCullers
    3. McHugh
    4. Appel
    5. VV

Now, i believe we should try and re-sign Kazmir big time. Yes, that means it would be a crowed rotation, but, Kazmir is THAT good.

Haha you mean a certain user that posts 3 times in a row consistently rerouting conversation?

Possible. I mentioned Keegan Yuhl earlier and he's had a fine season across both A teams. Maybe the pitching version of Tyler White???

Back to back years with great finds in the 30th round or later? Incredible. He's for sure worth watching develop and A+ will give him a challenge. Any scouting reports on him? Any plus offerings?

At 23, he's still old for his level. If he has success in AA as a 24 year old, then I'll start to entertain the idea that he may have a future at the MLB level.

I get excited for guys at the lower levels every year, but age and polish seems to matter a lot more than talent in those leagues.

what's the story on Heineman? I know he's not projected to be an offensive stud, but he does appear capable with the bat.

Any chance he gets a spot on the club next year?

Yes. He's likely the third catcher now. Defense is there to be acceptable backup. Makes a lot of contact. Basically Altuve without speed and power offensively.

    Mark Appel @ Tacoma: 6 IP, 4 H, ER, 3 BB, 4 K

He did not factor into the decision as Fresno walked off with an 8-7 loss. They led 5-1 heading into the 7th inning stretch.

I feel like that was somehow still Appel's fault.

Appel, Carter, Tucker's defense, Villar...as horrible as these guys have been, the Astros are better than okay right now.

Andrew Reed just hit a solo shot. Actually, he and Jon Kemmer just hit back-to-back solo shots. It's Reed's 26th, while Kemmer now has 14.

Corpus Christi leads Frisco 5-1 in the 7th.

^^^^Josh Hader only went 4 innings, but that's because he's had some blister issues apparently. The only hit he allowed was an RBI double. The 1 walk he issued turned into the run and he struck out 6.
