Clutch, I respect you but its hard to score points in Game 4 OT when you're not in the game. OT starts at 2:10 So Lin did score nearly half his team's points in OT of Game 1 & 3. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lR8h_f1Vtng" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Well if you want to be nitpicky about words, that's fine. I think we should be fair, but since you have selective memory I don't expect you to be. If he's going to get the heat for the two critical dumb r****ded decisions and turnovers he made at the end of those playoff games, he should also get credit for his good moments in the playoff series. Lin had huge ups and downs in that series, just like the player he is. Ups and downs. Made huge mistakes. But also pulled through at big moments when we needed a bucket in crunchtime. Overall he was average like the average player that he is.
Yeah, let's generalize when it works to his advantage but once the narrative does not fit what happened out there, lets not "nitpick" his own words. Another episode of "Jeremy Lin fans saving Jeremy Lin from Jeremy Lin!" LOL @ asking to be fair. That is not asking anyone to be fair. That is asking to be selective when using his own quote against him. Hey we didn't say it. He did! And LOL @ using the "Oh but he did not play in the game 4 OT!" There is a reason he did not play in the OT. He was serving up some major suckage. 1-6 from the field, almost as many TOs as assists, and another boneheaded costly turnover. But let's shove that under the rug while trying to shove the OT under as well. If you do not understand why Jeremy Lin was a liability out there, watch those two videos Clutch posted...and remember, this was our PG. And if you still cant understand it, you never will. Missed shots and bad performance can be forgiven. Everyone has bad games. But costing games on JV level blunders and lack of ball handling by your PG is a complete NO NO at this level and in the playoffs.
I think you're nitpicking in his defense. Lin said "scoring half my entire teams points in all the OTs combined."
Clutch destroyed the lin fans with the leg drop of truth. What cha gonna do when truth a mania runs wild on you !
You can nitpick the wording his tweet, but if you're going to knock on his game statistics then atleast try to stick to the facts. You can only be accountable for the time you're ON THE COURT. Which includes his dumbass turnovers, etc. But you can't knock on him for not scoring any points when he wasn't even on the court! That's like decreasing the batting average of a baseball player for sitting on the bench when he didn't even have extra AT-BATs.
LOL @ krxsnoppy. Another valiant attempt to save his scrub hero's honor but failing miserably. The only one nitpicking is Lin (assuming he is doing what his fans claim he is) and his crazy fans. We just proved that Lin's claim is not true at all. This would be my response to Jeremy and his fans to that tweet. "Then why did no one want you as a free agent except the Hornet.......who did not even want to spend the MLE on you and decided $2 million was more than enough to warm the bench for Kemba Walker?" You would figure a player who scores "nearly" half of his team's OT points would be in high demand.....and would get more than a near vet minimum in a free agent period when everyone was throwing money out there.
So what you're saying is if you remove one of the games Lin clearly included, he's still not telling the truth.
Krxsnoopy is better off getting destroyed by zboy or i than getting his cells obliterated on an atomic level by Clutch. Does he really want every carbon molecule of him to be humiliated like this?
Being wrong and lying are two different things. I don't think he researched his answer before replying to someone on twitter. The highest probability, to me, is that he was going off something someone else mentioned to him, and like a game of telephone the end result was farther from the truth than the initial statement.
Lin doesn't check his facts like how he doesn't check the game clock in last minute of the 4th quarter
You might as well argue that Lin was simply stating that he was not afraid to score half of our team's points in OT but McHale wouldn't let him. If you're going to be that specific about a comeback you'd better know your facts.
So his clueless, unprepared retort is akin to how he responds to opposing guards pressuring his ball handling or attacking his man to man defense. Lets call it a tweeter turnover!
